God bless all of them and their souls , they brought pride to Iran when we had nothing they brought respect to Iran when we were nothing, they brought power to Iran when we were nothing . These are some of Iran’s best , they were the peoples army , when shah left they didn’t attack Iranians , they sided with the people . This is something that will never happen today , if people get on the streets today and threaten the IRI , I am sure the revolutionary guard will be on the streets shooting at every living soul.

with all do respect, why dont we learn to move on and forget about the past? Are you telling me that Shah was not a dictator? dont get me wrong my family had much more power and $ in the Shah time but its past.
i dont understand how today is any better than 30 years ago! its another dictator just like the old one! and dont tell me that now there is democracy in iran because president is nothing in Jumhuri Islami since power lies in the hands of Vali a Faghih and Rahbar!

Who said anything about the Shah? Why don’t you actually read my post before you make false assumptions . If I posted a picture of today’s army you would of probably said something different , how are these soldiers any different then the brave soldiers who died in the Iran-Iraq war? Most of those troops probably did fight in the war but just because the shah was in power at the time, people associate them with dictatorship . Its good to remember the past and respect the honors of those who served our country , its not a matter of moving on , it’s the matter of being respectful .
