Okay, let's get some pregame news in here. As you all know, the match is being played in Palermo, Italy. Patrick Viera (France & Arsenal) has said that he will be healthy for the match against Israel. Meanwhile Yossi Benayoun (Israel & Racing Santander) has been recovering from his injury in the match against Cyprus and hopes to start against France. Haim Revivo (Israel & Fenerbahce) is also hoping to be in full match fitness for the match against France.

First goal: 2 mn. into the game
Omri Afek, on a long ball from Revivo, behind Thuram. Afek goes through the French defense and shoots perfectly towards the opposite side of Barthez, on the side net.

Second goal: 23 mn.
David Trezeguet, on a perfect center from Henry,
a powerfull header in the back of Israel's defense, right under the transversal bar

Third goal: 46 mn.
Zinedine Zidane scores with a left-foot shot,
angled across the penalty box. May have been
deflected by Ben Haim.

They said on FSW report that the game was played in Italy (Parma, I think) and that only a few hundred people were at the game. What's the deal with that?

The last goal was a deflection, you could see it easily on replay.

Politics. Israel was ruled unsafe to have a home game.
