OK, I have watched this show for a while now, and I just have to ask:

Is this show for real? What's with the haircuts? The nervous fidgeting? The awkward banter? The suits? The graphics?

These guys are likeable and seem to know what they're talking about. Why not just watch some SportsCenter, get some pointers, and make the show look a little more professional?

Is there no budget? FOX, right?? I'm not trying to hate too much here, I am honestly wondering why it kind of sucks. Is anyone else annoyed by this?

While I'm on the topic of FSC, Sean Wheelock is a funny name.

Peace

OK, I have read this post for a while now, and I just have to ask:

Is this post for real? What's with the lack of an avatar? The sentence fragments? The awkward grammer? The lack of capitalization? The lack of graphics?

Ok, would you rather there was no FSWR? Sportscenter has a staff of hundreds. FSWR has a staff of 8 people on a GOOD day. They have to gather the footage, keep up on the news, write the script and they have to do this 7 days a week including weekends. It's an awesome show for the resources they have.

Before FSW Report came along in the U.S., I watched World Sport on CNN Sports Illustrated and CNNfn/CNN International.

World Sport, a CNN product no less, was even worse than FSW Report, as World Sport had the same kind of budget constraints as FSW Report so World Sport had to use the same pre-packaged sports news videos from service providers such as SNTV (AP/IMG Media) and Reuters.

LOL GutBomb... What?!?

I thought it was a pretty legitimate question. I wasn't trying to offend you, unless you are a producer of this show. Then I might have been trying to offend you a little.

Is that eighth man they have on "good" days the one who writes the cue cards? Or is it the barber? How much would it cost the show to have the anchors stop the awkward fidgeting? I might be able to spare them a few bucks.

To FSW Report: Are you hiring? I will come up to Canada and bring some tapes of SportsCenter.

GutBomb: What did you want me to capitalize in my last post? And, for future reference, please spell the word "grammar" correctly (it's with an A) when you're knocking mine. Amateur hour indeed.

And I wasn't asking that the show be cancelled. I would rather have it than not. It still kind of sucks, though.

I don't think you understand his previous post. The FSW Report will never be Sportscenter just due to the number of people working to produce both shows. If you've ever seen one of those behind the scenes at Sportscenter they show on ESPN2 every so often then you'd realize that there are more than 8 people in the control room alone for Sportscenter. It's not like the people working there have never seen sportscenter or don't realize that their show isn't up to that level. FSWR does what it can and while it certainly isn't as polished as Sportscenter it is a decent soccer highlight show.

Also, this topic is brought up on a weekly basis so that is why some of the people get a little testy when these topics appear.

it was a joke, which i thought your post must have been since it's brought up every friggin week and if you even bothered to look at the credits of either show you'd see that they are miles apart in terms of manpower in the production department.

Actually, with Michelle gone, I'm pretty sure FSWR is hiring. So, you might want to polish up that resume, if you think you can handle the chilly Winnipeg winters.
