View Full Version : Why does this subforum exist?

When I want to look at current Wizard threads, I have to look in two places. There are rarely more than one or two active (within the last several days) threads. These threads are not inappropriate for the main forum, and there aren't that many active main forum threads.
Any other thoughts on this issue?

It helps keep Cauldron issues off the main board. Even if the use is minimal right now, the Cauldron needs somewhere to discuss its own issues and still have a general discussion area. It's all still accessible, and anything really important will still make the main board.
Things like the LLC bitch fight belong here rather than on the front page. They only affect the fans on the boards who are in the Cauldron, and it doesn't belong on the main boards.

I personally like the fact that the Cauldron/KC Soccer Misfits/Blue Army/Wiz Wagon/Buzz Zone/Zards/Adidas Zone internal stuff gets put in here (although the Cauldron is the only thing relevant honestly).
It cleans up the main page for other more specific things like game threads, media/articles, CJ stepping down, On goal, etc... that are for the general audience rather than llc explanations, flag holders, supporter player recognitions etc... which I support but I don't need to read it's evolution everyday. I don't regularly stand in the Cauldron and thus would not be involved to a great extent in these group specific discussions rather I'm interested in the overall club ones.

I questioned the need for this sub forum as well, but I now support it for the reasons Jeff and Andy have given.
That said, both of you mentioned that this is a place where the Cauldron/LLC/who ever else can hash out issues. Then we do it and everyone tells us that the boards aren't the place for it. Make up your minds! ;)

i loved it! :D there's few things better than reading everyone else's dirty laundry. in fact, i think my comment might've spurred on that last one. i mean, the comment was irrelevant, but it must've tapped a nerve somewhere 'cause immediately following, hell broke loose.

personally I never saw the harm either. people might as well know what other people say/do.
On that note, what do you care? You won't even stand with us anyway, right??? :)

that's what makes it all the more gratifying for me:D
seriously though, that's not entirely true. it's not that i "won't," it's that my friends prefer to be elsewhere. i typically prefer a better view, but i have been in the cauldron before, and there'll be times in the future when i'll be in it again.

Peer pressure is a mofo!
