For those with Sirius, or those considering getting it, their commitment to the Champions League is now official. In fact it's the most prominently displayed part of their main page as I write this now. "SIRIUS’ coverage of one of the most coveted titles in sports will include select Group Stage matches and all knockout phase matches — culminating in the single-match Championship final in Athens on May 23. Hear Champions League matches Wednesdays throughout the competition on SIRIUS Sports Play-by-Play Ch. 125." It appears that select matches means at least one match per match day (by the way, they picked a good one, Inter - Bayen, which is interestingly not a English team's game).

In addition, the World Soccer Daily guys were speculating that Sirius is making 125 all soccer all the time. The signs are certainly there: in addition to the Champions League and the new deal with Chelsea, they are now replaying the previous day's WSD, and on a couple of recent Sundays and Mondays I've caught replays of Premiership games. Finally, during an ad break in WSD, there was a Sirius ad that specifically pitched its new "world class soccer" coverage. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

That wouldn't be surprising, the way things are going. G show, WSD, Premiership Live. Just need something to fill the holes in other than 15 replays per day.

Premiership PbP from 7:40 AM ET to 2:15 PM ET. Only downside is last year, they cut away from the 12:15 game or didn't air it at all due to college basketball. Let's see what happens this year.

Touching on Chelsea: One channel has the Chelsea radio broadcast with a pregame show oddly hosted not by Stephen Cohen, but instead by Georgio Chinaglia and Charlie Stillitano. Did Stephen not want to do it, or was he not asked? Then again, perhaps he's too busy at the pub.

Only thing i'd do different is keep channel 125 consistent Premiership Live from 7:40 AM to 2:15 PM. Put the Chelsea game on another channel instead of splitting up the "regular" Premiership Live.

It'd be nice if they aired PbP of the Chelsea match at 10 AM AND another game at 10 AM, but I don't know if they can do that.

"Every Wednesday afternoon on channel 125, SIRIUS will present The Football Show with Giorgio Chinaglia and Charlie Stillitano. On the program, which debuts September 27 (5-8pm ET), Chinaglia, the famed former New York Cosmos and Italian National team striker, and Stillitano, the former GM of the New York New Jersey Metrostars, will review the performances from the Champions League and take an overall look at teams and leagues around the world.

SIRIUS is the Official Satellite Radio Partner of Barclays English Premier League and carries multiple live Premiership soccer matches each week on channels 125 and 110. SIRIUS listeners can hear the 20 best teams in the U.K. -- including legendary rivals Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal -- compete all season long for the league title.

SIRIUS is also the Official Satellite Radio Partner of Chelsea Football Club and airs every Chelsea Premier League game live, providing listeners in the U.S. and Canada with Chelsea's official radio broadcast.

In addition to live match coverage, SIRIUS subscribers can tune in to World Soccer Daily, the popular daily talk program that provides an in-depth look at the game with news, expert analysis and interviews with the sport's most intriguing personalities. Hosted by Steven Cohen and Nick Geber, World Soccer Daily airs every weekday from 1-3pm ET exclusively on SIRIUS, channel 125."

Looks like Sirius also just introduced (finally!) a truly portable receiver. Maybe now I'll finally get around to becoming a subscriber.

They had the rights to the World Cup, and their coverage was apparently very good. However, otherwise, I believe they do not.

Sirius is really kicking some arse and leaving xm in the dust.

They now have added Champions League games.

Now if they would only add the soccer channel (125) to their list of channels you can listen to online -- like they did with the NFL channel -- I'd be in heaven.
