I have a few World Cup matches on my Series 2 Tivo that I'd like to burn to DVD so I can free up the HD space. Is it possible to transfer the programs to my Mac from my Tivo and make a DVD out of it?

I believe it's possible, but I don't know how.

If you recorded from ESPN2 and have the right software, you might be able to edit out the ticker.

I believe that it's not possible unless you hack your Tivo. (Cue Noahmitch or whatever his name is) ... but the Tivo ToGo feature only works with Windows for the time being. I'm told they were going to have something soon.

but I THINK you can't do it. yet.

What type of Mac are you running???? If the programs are for Windows just go and use boot camp before it expires.... Also theres always a way to get into the tivo just look around..

Intel Mac Mini Core Duo

Not up for hacking. Was just hoping that software plus a usb connection would suffice.

I think the only way to do it without hacking is install Tivo ToGo on Windows -- if you have XP on our Intel mini -- download it there and burn from there.

but don't quote me on that ....

tivotogo only works on windows and it will play on your computer, but to burn to DVD you need third party software that as far as I know isn't free but there may be shareware. I have Tivo with DVD burner so I only rarely use tivotogo (and I have to borrow girlfriend's PC to do it).
