I've been hearing rumblings through the grapevine that Jeremy St.Louis is set to leave FSWR any day now.
IMO this would be a HUGE blow to the program - especially considering that Michelle Lissel just left last week. (Nice send-off BTW)
I know he has his detractors but with no replacement found yet for Lissel, if St.Louis leaves that would leave Carlos Machado and Mitch Peacock to do a seven day a week show.
Can anyone else barely stand this pairing on the weekends let alone every other day of the week?
I know FSWR/FSC people read this so I implore you:
Do what needs to be done to at least keep St.Louis since you couldn't do it for Lissel!!
God forbid Bobby McMahon ever considers leaving....There'd be a BS Board-wide revolt!!

Where did you hear Jeremy might be leaving? If so, where is he headed?

FSWR came along in 2002 just as CNN Sports Illustrated folded and CNNfn cut World Sport to weekends only in the U.S. (CNNfn folded in 2004.)
Well, there is always GolTV News, and the endless parade of eye candy on FOX Sports Noticias.

I can't confirm he actually IS leaving but I know his demo tapes are making the rounds to the major players.
I'm sure many may not agree but I think it's only a matter of time before he gets snatched up by someone.
It's not a very good sign if he wants out of FSWR - for them or for loyal viewers.
But all good things must end.........

What makes you think that escaping from Winnipeg would be easy?
There aren't really that many other places in the world to go for an international sports anchor.
CNN International's World Sport, which is arguably a worse show compared to FSW Report (only 25 minutes long and uses the same sports news video services to fill the show), doesn't pay the anchors/presenters much if anything. The last North America-based anchor hired by World Sport, former University of Tennessee tennis player Candy Reid, was promoted from Associate Producer/Video Editor (i.e. think of Ms. Reid as the "Christian Miles" of CNN International.)
GolTV News does not hire Canadians who don't speak Spanish fluently, as production meetings in Miami are conducted primarily in Spanish and the show is written first in Spanish before it is translated to English.
ESPN STAR Sports' SportsCenter Asia, based in Singapore, is another show with a limited budget. SportsCenter Asia just got rid of Australian anchor Jason Dasey (who used to anchor CNN International's World Sport) and replaced him with British-born Steve Dawson, who has been working in Singapore for many years (read: available to work cheaply).

Is he only capable of international sports anchoring? Seems like an anchor is an anchor. He could do local sports, for Toronto FC.
