You have to be impressed with his record in a decade at the club. If we could add a european cup to the other cups/titles...
Congrats, Wenger....stay for ten more, ok?

France will come calling when his contract expires
And I expect he'll turn them down. He likes the day to day management of a club too much to have to deal with getting his players for a few weeks out of a year.

Im assuming he will too, but a boy can dream can't he. Besides whats to say when he gets his european cup victory he won't want to anyway? He would have done everything he wanted to do on the club level.

Wrighty: Wenger would've quit Arsenal (http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=12959)
Ian Wright believes Arsene Wenger would have quit Arsenal if they had won the Champions League last season.
.
.
"But I'm quite glad they didn't win the Champions League because I don't think it's time for him to leave yet."
.
.
"He won't be like Alex Ferguson, who said he was going to retire then changed his mind."
"When Arsene says it's his last season, then that's it."
Hope its not true .. But anyway, Wenger said that if he did win the CL 3 times, he'd still not be satisfied and would want to win more ..

Dixon on Wenger's 10 years at Arsenal (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/5382632.stm) .. Good article ..
I half expected him to have leather patches on the elbows of his jacket.
...
Traditionally full-backs were the worst-paid players in a football team - and we were no exception. [ Look Cashley ]
But Arsene looked at what we were getting paid and said "that's not right" and we were given immediate wage rises.
He also changed the way we prepared for games. In my book, there's nobody better at preparing a player for a match than Arsene Wenger.
.
.
When he arrived at the club I was 32 and the rest of the "famous back four" of Tony Adams, Martin Keown and Nigel Winterburn were over 30 as well.
Yet we were all pretty open to Arsene's new ideas. We were at an age when you begin to get a few niggles and start thinking that retirement isn't too far away.
Arsene told us he could extend our careers if we followed his advice, so we listened.
I played six years under him before I retired, so his methods can't be too bad.
.
.
George Graham had taught me the art of defending, both as an individual and as part of a unit, and I've got a lot to thank him for.
He laid the foundations for me to become the player I eventually turned into, but Arsene released the shackles.
I was allowed to venture forward more and told not to worry about making mistakes.

Its Wenger's Arsenal now (http://www.gunners4life.com/index.asp?article=260&referrer=rss)
When Dennis Bergkamp made a fond farewell to the club this summer, he became the last pre-Wenger player to leave Arsenal, and thus this is now ALL Arsene's team.
.
.
He has somehow replaced the back five of Seaman, Dixon, Adams, Bould, Winterburn, and at a bargain price, and without bringing in big names or natural defenders. In effect, he has created a new breed of defender in Toure, Lauren, Eboue, training them his way.
He has brought some magnificent midfielders through the club, most of them also unknowns or under-achievers. In fact he had gone through several generations of midfield and evolved the playing style of the team to suit. From the solid midfield duo of Vieira-Petit, pacey wing play of Overmars, intricate passing of Pires and Cesc, and clever running of Freddie Ljungberg.
And up front, his biggest achievement of all, the reformation of Thierry Henry into a monster... er, I mean the World's Greatest Player! :D
.
.
This is truly Arsene's Arsenal now and what a joy the team is to watch as well, and after all isn't football meant to be about entertainment. Thanks for the last 10 years Arsene, here's to 10 more!

Dein offers Wenger 'job for life' (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/5387774.stm)
Dein said: "We want him for the rest of his career. If he wanted to give up the tracksuit he'd be invaluable in the boardroom in a technical role."
Wenger, 57, insists he has no thoughts of retiring, saying: "We have a young team and want to continue developing. "
Phew, now thats a relief ..

This is the same article that's on soccernet (I have no doubt they just pinched it.) At the end of the article Wenger even earns high praise from Roy Keane.
