Buying Harry Kewell

Hi guys I am of the opinion that if all does not go well with Kewell at Liverpool that we should try and purchase him from them either in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2007. This guy is absolutely awesome when healthy and I think that he would do well in our system and be the type of playr that Pires was for us back in his best Arsenal days. He has got a killer left foot can dribble and pass and is good at taking free kicks as well! I know that our priority right now is another defensive midfielder but if Kewell is available I think that we should pursue him. I just don't like our style and pace of play on the left side of midfield I think that it is to slow because we do not have a natural left-footed player playing that position. With a guy like Kewell we would be very versatile in attack from the flanks for us. I really think that we need a natural left footed player on the left side of midfield which would bring another dimension to our attack. What do you guys think about this suggestion?

Why did you think Liverpool no longer wants him? I know a lot of bad things can be said about Benetiz, and I do agree to a certain extent that we are not using our width well in the left wing, but there are lots of left wingers out there better than Kewell.

We're not talking about the Harry Kewell who plays for Leeds; this is the Harry Kewell who plays for 'pool--or, rather, wishes he were good enough to play for 'pool.

Having Harry Kewell in your team is like watching football by lightning. Occasionally you'll see flashes of brilliance, but they may not even be from your team. The rest is simply shocking.

4 years ago a friend who is a 'pool supporter was excited to get Kewell. I couldn't have been bothered with him then. Do you really think he is that much better now after all the injuries and the poor play? Meh.
