i wasn't going to start any more match threads after fulham, but, then again, that was (sadly) one of our best results yet this year. and since another draw will do us just fine for this one (and it doesn't appear to be going up otherwise), here it is.
spurs go into the second leg at the lane up 1-0 on aggregate.
following their 0-1 first leg loss to spurs, slavia returned to the gambrinus liga with a disappointing 0-0 home draw with struggling (currently in 14th) side, slovacko. they followed that up, however, with a very impressive 0-4 road win against then third-placed plzen. hopefully, they won't be able to take that road form all the way to london.
spurs come into this match with ... well, we all know how spurs have been since prague.
we damn well better get this result. i'm far less at ease with this now than i was shortly after the first leg.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!

....i think we have too much for them. Does anyone know if Berbatov is out for this one as well? I've been reading on COYS that King may have a knee injury but I have not checked the official site for team news.....that really would be the iceing on the cake for how the season has started.

i don't have any doubt that we'll control the match. but, thus far at least, we haven't done well at converting control into goals. and surely they'll create a chance or two.
it's just hard to be confident with the way things have gone.
i'm going to be arriving in london on 2 Nov, which happens to be a UEFA cup date. we need to get through this one, then it's 50/50 as to whether we'll be home on that date, and whether i'll get to see a cup match at the lane.

....at some point our luck in front of goal will change, its not as if we have not created chances againt ManYoo, Fulham and Liverpool, the players have not capitalised, some of them were harder to miss like the ball off the shoulder with defoe against united and of course JJ seasonal miss.

no, but i'm about to. i'm off to Powers Hamburgers* for a bite. that'll settle the gut with certainty. i'll come away from lunch with a newfound confidence. after 3 or 4 powers burgers, i'll be predicting two cup finals and a champions' league spot.
*the finest hamburgers on all the planet. one part grilled onions to one part 100% grade A american beef. if Fort Wayne, Indiana has a redeeming quality - and it does - it's Powers Hamburgers. i'm off.

Dear God, I hope we win this game. Otherwise I will have no faith in this team...but I think we can do it.

I'm very confident we won't have a problem with this game. Where I'm not so confident, is against Portsmouth this weekend....

i hope that the idea that we just have to draw doesnt set into the players. but we should be able to pull this off without any trouble. i just hope i can find a pub in south london showing the game.

I'm scared shitless right now. We haven't shown the ability to beat anyone.

We'll be too powerful, a bit of restbite from the league and against inferior opposition with a lead we'll win. No score predictions but I'd be "upset" if it's less than 2-0. Upset meaning pleased we won but annoyed that it wasn't by more if you see what I mean..

Don't worry, we prepared all pre-season for europe but not for Bolton and Everton.

But who do u have scoring the goals?
I'm predicting Spurs will win 2-0 too. I have their central defender scoring an own-goal and their keeper letting in a howler. Hey, it's a win, I won't be complaining how it happens!

Injury list ahead of tomorrows game:
Definitely out
Defoe
Davids
Berbatov
Lennon
Malbranque
Gardner
Stalteri
Ledley has a late fitness test
I have a feeling Lee might play instead of BAE, he was at fault for 2 of Liverpool's goals and he has played every game so far so he might be given a rest.
Also i think Murphy will get another chance to play although im not to keen on him playing on the left because he is not quick enough.
I would like Huddlestone in the team.
What i think the team will be:
------------Robbo
Chimbonda King Dawson Lee
Jenas Huddleston Zokora Murphy
---------Keane Mido
