Well, after their showing against Tecos I'm not feeling terribly confident about their chances. I hope they show up for the wilas!:D

The eyes of all of Mexico will be fixed on this game. The largest rivalry will face each other in another edition of the Super Clasico. There is great expectation. The environment is heating up. Many are praying. Many are nervous. More than a few can't wait for the fiesta to begin. Some of us are lamenting that we lost the last game against Tecos and that this negative result does not provide motivation for our team. Many are planning how we should approach this game, which players should be in the starting lineup.
Chivistas are re-living beautiful moments by meditating on past matches that our great team was victorious over their chief rival. Goleadas of 3-0 in Verano and Invierno 2000 provide moments of happiness. The other goleada that is impossible to forget is the stomping we gave the yellow team in the Torneo Invierno of 1996! With a devastating score of 5-0, the canary-colored team kneeled before the most loved and followed team in Mexico, Chivas, in submission and defeat! Sweet memories! Glorious moments! Chivistas clamor for more of these triumphs!
No escuses or pretexts in this important match. All of our players must demonstrate that they truly love Guadalajara and will sacrifice every last drop of their energy and sweat on the playing field. I want to see an intense performance as if their were playing for their very lives! May our team be confident and energized because the tournament is not lost and we are facing our hated opponent in our own turf. We have the edge. We have the talent.
Our players must feel the embrace of the fans of Guadalajara. I want to hear Chivas! Chivas! Chivas! in all its splendor. I want to hear our people chanting "oles" to taunt the rival and to give encouragment to our team. May our Chivas play their very best football in this game. This game must absolutely be won. No other result will satisfy! No other conclusion is acceptable! May the Rebano Sagrado dominate in such a way that I want to see faces of fear on the players of America. May Chivas destroy their loathsome foe! May we celebrate a great win. May the mariachis play and sing in praise to our warriors' conquest.
Vamos Chivas! Tu Eres La Leyenda Del Futbol Mexicano!
Conquista Tu Rival! A Triunfar Guadalajara!

That is wonderful Chivas Fan! I am very glad that you have this opportunity. Many of us do not have the capital nor the time to make this sweet trip. May you enjoy the game with your family and friends. Get many pictures and share with us your experiences. Please give us many details when you come back. Happy travel!
Chivistas: the stakes are high in this match! I read today in La Opinion's website that Chepo will be separated from the Rebano if he loses this game. Read the details and more here: http://www.laopinion.com/deportes/futbol_mexicano/?rkey=00060926001219586665
Banner or Hulk?

He should be, hes already wasted too much of the season. I didnt like him when he first came in, and i still dont. Only a championship will redeem him in my eyes.
I think this game will end up in a tie, but because Chivas is impotent moreso than anything America will do. Theyre not anything special, if anything Vuoso and Cabanas have been busts compared to what theyve done prior to joining them. Im hoping Blanco plays, at this point in their careers Cuevas is a better player. Blanco should be riding the pine, like Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers should be. I'll be watching.

This is how America lined up last week and I expect them to repeat.
-----------Cabanas--------------
-----------Blanco----------------
--Cuevas------- Mosqueda------
--------Villa----Arguello---------
O.Rojas-Davino-R.Rojas-Castro
--------------Ochoa--------------
We will most likely lineup as so:
--------Bravo----------Santana--
-------------Bofo------------------
Medina-----------------Martinez--
-------------Araujo----------------
Morales-Maza-Reynoso-Magallon
------------Oswaldo---------------
I believe we should come out a little bit more defensive with 2 contenciones.
--------Bravo-------Medina------
-----------------------------------
-Morales----------------Martinez
-----------Araujo---Sol-----------
Pineda-Maza-Reynoso-Magallon
----------Oswaldo----------------
I'm really worried about our defense when our attack breaks up and we are being counterattacked. We've given up most of our goals that way. We really need to keep Cuevas and Mosqueda busy marking. Last week against Monterrey, I only watched the first half, Cuevas led a few good buildups from the left. I expect him to do the same.
With this lineup, I feel we strike a good balance between our attack and defense.

sol and pineda should be starters to give the team more control of the mid field... Chepo should keep morales on the bench and then put him in the second half...

i don't think sol will play because he hardly even plays and now that it is the clasico his chances are slimer

One good game against the Lions doesnt change anything, hes still washed up.
Lets just say this, while Blanco has the potential to burn the Chivas defense, the more time he sees in the game the more likely i am to feel confident in a Chivas victory.
