View Full Version : Mags vs Levadia Tallinn 28/09/06 [R]

25 Sep 2006, 04:29 PM
Kick off: 7:30pm GMT
NUFC: To follow... Rossi is ineligible but Babayaro and Bramble are available as their bans extends only to domestic matches.
Ameobi's hip continues to cause concern, while an ankle injury sustained against Everton is an additional worry. It's hoped that Duff will have recovered from the dead leg that saw him miss the visit of the Toffees.
Levadia Tallinn: TBC, but who really cares?
Ref: TBC
Overseas TV: TBC
Having been beaten by Deportivo at SJP last season then drawing our opening two home games in Europe this season (1-1 with Lillestrom, 0-0 with Ventspils), we're actually in the middle of our worst-ever run of home form in European competition.

If we play like we did against Everton we'll win 10-0.

If we play like we did against Everton we'll win 10-0.
If we play against them like we did Everton, we will get 50 shots and maybe 5 will be on target.
Other than our finishing and defense, I think our team has hit its stride. Sadly, those are the two most important things.

Put a dagger in their hearts during the first 30 minutes and we'll be good to the next round.
2-0 Toon with goals from Martins and Parker

Some more good news...
Taylor given chance to stake claim (http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/chroniclesport/tm_objectid=17828249%26method=full%26siteid=50081%26headline=taylor%2dgiven%2dchance%2dto%2dstake%2dclaim-name_page.html)
Let's just hope the Taylor-Ramage pairing in central defense takes place in the very near future.

What happened to Rossi, is he injured?

No, he's a loan (until January, IIRC) and I don't think ManU wants him played in European matches so as not to cup-tie him to NUFC when he's a MU player.

Will Century FM have the game? Soccernet doesnt have a gamecast for it and I am wondering how I can get it in my office.

Bramble with an early giveaway. Positively shocking.
At least they didn't score from it, I guess.

Listening in Texas!
Newcastle seems to be having a good amount of possession.
Milner and N'Zogbia switching positions from left to right.

Some pretty interesting results in the other matches...
Marseille [who ended our UEFA cup run in 03-04] went to Mlada Boleslav with a 1-0 lead, led tonight 2-1, and lost 4-2 with the clincher coming in the 90th minute.
Shalke won the opener 1-0 at home, and went to AS Nancy Lorraine and lost 3-1.
