Theo Walcott's father Don, mother Lynn and older brother Ashley, are all set to appear in the next Harry Potter film - The Order of the Phoenix. Theo himself was scheduled to also star, but had to pull out due to club and England under-21 commitments.

Walcott finally hits back at his WC critics .. (http://www.arsenal.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=32035)

For the first time Walcott has spoken about his inclusion and the effect the negative press had on him.

'The upset caused to mum and dad has upset me, of course,' Walcott said.

'Because it's not my fault I got picked. Mum and Dad ignore it just like I do - most of the time. But sometimes it gets hard for them.

'I'm looking on it as an experience, and I'd rather have had it than not had it. I'd rather have been in Germany playing football than being on holiday.'

I think i read about this the other day, he was supposed to be in the Quidditch World Cup, but his scenes ended up on the cutting room floor. ;)

Here is a full length interview that Theo gave to the Times;

My wife mentioned that Harry and his best friend have a favorite "pro" Quidditch team and that they are the "something" Cannons. She asked me if I knew if the author chose "Cannons" because she is an Arsenal fan and that is a pretty clear reference to Arsenal.

Anyone know anything?

^^^^^^^Well, I hope not, because that would be the Chudley Cannons and they are pretty bad. That's sort of a running joke, that Ron (Harry's best friend) is so consumed by his poverty and lack of status, that even his favorite Quidditch team are a rather sad-sack lot.

We haven't always been so grand. Maybe it reflects the Arsenal of her youth?

Interesting article. I can totally see him racing around town in his souped-up little veedub.

Off topic, where is Arsenal's Hertfordshire training ground? Is it in London and if so, what section is it in and is it near Highbury? :confused:

Interestingly enough, the only football club mentioned in the books is West Ham, who are the favorites of one of Harry's muggle-born classmates.

Arsenal's training ground is in London Colney, a village in Hertfordshire just north of London. Its a suburban area, and alot of the players have houses close by.

I hear the QA launches an investigation and finds out "He-Who-Will-Not-Be-Named" is also the players' agent as well as the mysterious buyer and bans him.
