Im going to say it, Chepo needs to go. He hasnt led the team to anything, his initial success was a result of the previous coach's work. Lets face it, in week 10 this is what are Chivas team looks like and will continue to look like for the rest of the apertura. I do think that Chivas will squeeze into the playoffs, but in the 6th, 7th, or 8th spot and those are not good slots to slide into simply because that means Chivas wont have the benefit of a good regular season point amount to help them advance should they end up in a situation like the last tournaments squad was were ties would not advance them. Chepo needs to go.

Man, this is bullshit...

The defense was crap--the 1st goal shouldn't have happened. That's a Primera "A" mistake.

I thought our attack became more cohesive with Bofo on the field, but the 1st half was embarassing like all hell. Bravo had some good efforts in the 2nd. Still, it's the same goddamn problem--chances, chances, chances and no goals. The dependence on Maza's height in the last few minutes reeked of desparation (anytime you depend on Maza is desparation time).

I don't know about Chepo, but SOMETHING has to change, right fast.

Seriously though, what the hell is Chepo thinking? He leaves both Bofo and Pineda on the bench, and starts el Chato. WTF!

From Chivas de Corazon website:
CHIVAS
1.- O. Sánchez
2.- D. Martínez (Amonestado al 44’)
3.- F. J. Rodríguez
4.- H. Reynoso
19.- J. Magallón
5.- P. Araujo (Amonestado al 20’) (15.- M. Sol al 46’)
8.- J. P. Rodríguez (100.- A. Bautista al 46’) (Amonestado al 69’)
11.- R. Morales
10.- A. Medina
21.- S. Santana (45.- J. Hernández al 67’)
9.- O. Bravo (Gol al 47’)

I was not able to watch the game completely because of work. I got home when the referee momentarily stopped the game because pieces of concrete were thrown to the field. The game time was approx. 31 minutes in the Second Half. The score was 2 to 1. What happened? Why did we lose this game? How was Sol's performance? Why was Bautista not a starter? Was our defense complacent in the two goals of Tecos? How was the defense overall? How well did our offense perform? Did Chepo make strategic or tactical mistakes? Based on your comments, I cannot believe that Chato is still playing.

Im going to say it, Chepo needs to go. He hasnt led the team to anything, his initial success was a result of the previous coach's work.

I think Chepo needs to finish what he started. It is too late into the tournament to make such a drastic change. To understand your perspective better, what do you think Chepo has done or not done to cause these bad results? Chivas played very good football in many games but our team was not able to capitalize on their many goal opportunities. What is your case against Chepo?

I do think that Chivas will squeeze into the playoffs, but in the 6th, 7th, or 8th spot and those are not good slots to slide into simply because that means Chivas wont have the benefit of a good regular season point amount to help them advance should they end up in a situation like the last tournaments squad was were ties would not advance them.

If our team has an excellent finish, we will have a better position than the one you mentioned. There are 7 matches ahead and 21 points left. I also expect Guadalajara to be in the Liguilla but in a better slot. I remain optimistic.

Chepo has the most talented team in Mexico, yet after 10 weeks they are only the 10th best team point wise in an 18 team league. Thats all the proof i need that he has to go. Every single game its the same story, plenty of opportunities but little to no goals to show for it. I have no confidence in some of his starters. We have a guy who went to the World Cup riding the bench with no apparent injury. Im optimistic that the Chivas can pick up a fair amount of the 21 points available, but a team in Tecos position should have been hammered. Yet they end up with the three points. If Chivas cant beat the lowest teams in the league, what makes you think theyll turn it around against the better squads in the league?

the defense has to be replaced... chepo needs to leave but i doubt that will happen atleast for now, we keep playing great but we keep losing points, who knows, chepo will probably keep his job "When" we beat america..

I fully agree with you that we have the most talented team in Mexico. For this reason I am as frustrated as you are in the number of points that we have obtained. The only player that I dislike is el Chato Rodriguez. I watched the highlights of the game and he made an enormous error that allowed a Tecos player to steal the ball and create the first goal of the game. Chepo is making a big mistake in giving this deficient player game time. What makes me think that Chivas will turn this around is that the players will step on the accelerator in this last half of the tournament. The team will feel the pressure and this will be fuel for better performances. I hope that our best football will be realized in these last games. Chepo needs to correct his errors in placing Chato in the field, giving Bofo half a game, and having Santana as an offensive midfielder.
