So I was on Yahoo's front page and the link to JoJo's new video came up.

I've heard the song a couple times and remembered that there was at one time a belief that she and Freddy Adu were a couple.I wrote it down to some shrewd publicity by both their agents.

But out of curiosity (and it's a catchy tune),I hit the link.

WELL!

It's a highly soccer themed video, but not in a good way.It appears to be a roman a clef depicting poor Miss JoJo's shabby treatment at the hands of a young soccer-playing cad who then tries to sweet talk her back into the relationship.

Now in the video, the soccer player's white, but hey, interracial teen romance doesn't sell enough product I'm sure.Unless she had a fling with Bobby Convey at one point??Nah,she's too young for that.

So is this going to turn into some Nick and Jessica beef? Will Freddy, after his next goal ,rip off his shirt to reveal a t-shirt saying "u ain't all that girl?"

BTW,if Tommy Flanigan's right about Freddy's age ,man is he in deep ****.

Freddy,your thoughts?Mrs.Adu ,your thoughts?

:D

DISCLAIMER(which rhymes with Aimer):I almost went to the music thread to do this, but it is soccer entertainment related IMV.

You think the songwriter has any input into the video?

Apparently, JoJo had input in the video (if you choose to believe her):

I took a quick look at her lyrics for the album -- if they are autobiographical, Freddy better get an attorney! (Unfortunately, neither I nor Flannigan are licensed in Utah or Virginia)
