Apparently we're paying Neil Lennon £25,000 a week.
I hate the ginger b@stard but he's worth every penny of £25k if it's true! He's a top quality player and will shine at Forest. If you've nothing better to do, just check out how many passes he recieves/delivers in a match and how many of his deliveries are accurate. He really is a player. But he's still a ginger b@stard!;)

I'm very happy with Calderwood's summer signings. We just need to add one striker yet I think. Young Sinclair looks a top prospect.

Any word on Tyson's status for the upcoming season?

Tyson will, at the very earliest, be ready 3 weeks or so into the season. That's probably optimistic. I think they will be very cautious bringing him back. 2 injuries to the same knee in the same season. The club seem to be tight-lipped about it at the moment.

Yeah, it's difficult to find information about Forest here in the States. Any ideas on the starting IX for the Bournemouth game? I've been trying to keep abreast of their transfer market but with the exception of Lennon, I haven't heard much.

No wonder they struggle, fielding 9 players!;)

No doubt, I was thinking only 9 players would at least make it fair for the rest of the league!

Can we get this thread moved to the Other Divisions board, as only the first half of page 1 was made when Florist were a championship club?
Gary Johnson's Cider Army B-C-F-C etc.

Wow, your club gets promoted to the Championship after spending like its entire existence in the lower rungs of English football and now you feel the need to condescend? Enjoy the promotion...you'll be back in the Conference soon enough.

Starting XI could be as follows (considering not having Davies, Tyson, Agogo probably not match-fit):
Smith
Chambers/Moloney Wilson Breckin Lockwood
Perch/McGugan Clingan Lennon Commons
Dobie/Sinclair Holt
Holty still has a bit of a groin strain so not too many choices up front. I'm guessing we'll play 4-4-2 but with Calderwood you never know. It will be exciting to see young Brendan Moloney progress this year. He had a great pre-season and is already pushing for a starting spot. We'll be a little thin until we get our strikers fit plus getting Davies and Cohen fit in midfield.
BTW Gator-good job putting the Derby idiot in his place. We'll be in the same division next year.
sephjr-The next trophy Brizzle wins will be the first, numpty.

I noticed that you didn't include Morgan in the lineup. Is he not fit or perhaps you feel Wilson will get the nod more often than not?
Also, I see you're from Cleveland or as us Cincinnatians like to call it, the "Mistake by the Lake". Are you able to watch Forest matches from the States? If so, how? I'm thinking about signing up for "Forest World" which, to be frank, sucks as I can only watch highlights or listen to the match (though I guess it's better than nothing).

gator,
I didn't include Morgan even though I like him. I think Wilson is better and they'll probably play Breckin simply because he's the captain. However, Morgan could well be in there. I think it depends on who they play at right back. Perch may have to be moved to right mid due to Davies being out so that will open up right back to either Moloney or Chambers.
I'm not able to watch the matches, but had Forest World last year for match commentary and video highlights. Haven't renewed yet but probably will.

Looking forward to visiting the City Ground this season, both of our squads look strong compared to others in this division.

I say sign up. I live about 8 miles from the ground but I sign up for Forest World to see highlights from away games, player interviews etc. It's not as good as seeing the whole game but it's a good way to keep up with what's going on.

I'll be on holiday for the Leeds game, sooo p*ssed off I'm missing that one.

Should be good stuff. One thing I've found about this division is that it is one huge banana skin. It's tougher than it looks because of the style of play. I think Leeds will find what we found out as well--that every match seems to be our opponents' cup final. Anyway, enough bitching about this dungeon of the Football League. It would be great if Leeds and Forest gained the auto promotion spot and let the rest of these guys fight it out for the playoffs. Good news about Leeds getting their share. Good luck.

Rig,
Hopefully I will be coming over in the spring for a match. Perhaps a pint before hand? I heard Casa is no longer in business. Where does everybody go for the pre-game pissup?

I think Forest, then Leeds have made the better signings this summer. Forest signed the two players who ripped you apart in the playoffs to replace the old plodders and Leeds are relying on promising youth with the experience of Thompson, Flo, Rui, Ankergren etc. The 15 point penalty has shafted us, but we should still be aiming for a playoff position. All the best for the season.

I am absolutely amazed that the appeal failed for Leeds. I thought the 15 pt penalty was made high so it could be reduced on appeal.
That's 5 wins though and Leeds can make it up. Just remember, according to the BBC, Forest was one of the 15 or so clubs that voted FOR Leeds. Hope we both walk this division but it won't be that easy methinks.

Judging by some of the chairmen's comments it was a popularity contest. It doesn't matter. Wisey wants 105 points which is unlikely but 80 or so would get us a playoff spot. Forest have no excuse for not winning this league at a canter.
