Dear Soccer Enthusiasts!!!!

As the Fundraising Coordinator of RagingBullNation, along with my Trustee peers and our “Nationals” (members), I am committed to our organization's Statements of Purpose, which can be found on our web site (www.RagingBullNation.net). Our Mission and Vision Statements not only address our support of the New York Red Bulls, but importantly, also of the surrounding community; especially those who are confronted by uncommon or unique life challenges.

Last season, an incredible opportunity to raise money for the National Leukemia and Lymphoma Society essentially fell into our lap when we hosted 200+ spirited "englandfans" fan club members, who were following their English National Team during their USA tour. The money raised from this tremendously successful event helped children with leukemia and lymphoma across the country! We were recognized for this effort by the [then] MetroStars organization during a pregame "check presentation" ceremony at Giants Stadium.

As you should now realize, in between the 2005 and 2006 seasons, we voted to rebrand our organization as "RagingBullNation" to signify our solidarity with the newly rebranded team. This was achieved in a timely manner, but not without significant financial impact, particularly our small group after only its first season.

After considerable debate and contemplation, we will continue NOT to charge a membership fee for our organization. Frankly, as an independently governed and operated NJ nonprofit corporation, making money is not our primary motive. However, as we look to the future of our organization and the planned efforts in support of our Mission and Vision, we do recognize the importance of maintaining some financial integrity and solvency.

This season, we have already contributed to raising more than $26,000 during the "SocCURE Marathon" for The Phil Diffley Family Trust (www.PhilDiffleyFamilyTrust.com). As this season draws to a close, we are planning to host some young children along with the New York Red Bulls' own Chris Henderson. To learn more about Chris' work in the youth community, visit www.ChrisHendersonFoundation.org. In order to do this without imposing on Chris' foundation or the kids themselves, we must raise some money for the food and supplies needed for our pregrame Roundup.

READ THIS FLYER AND PASS IT ALONG! (http://www.metronation.net/extras/FundraisingRoundup-Sep30.jpg)

Our Roundups (tailgates) are held in Lot 15B near the South Tower entrance of Giants Stadium. We start approximately 4 hours before the scheduled kickoff of EVERY Red Bulls match at home. For a $20 donation from each adult and $10 donation from each youth under 14, we can show "Chris' Kids" a great time before, during, and after the Red Bulls/Fire match on September 30.

Please RSVP ASAP to me by September 26, kelitino@sbcglobal.net, to let me know exactly HOW MANY PEOPLE (adults and/or youths) will be in your group. We must plan as much in advance as possible to make it fun for all!!!! SEE YOU THERE AT OUR “ROADSIDE ROUNDUP!”

Keli Sorrentino (aka, "Mama Bull")

Isn't "Mama Bull" sort of an oxymoron?

I will pass the compliment on, "Doc." By the way, we took your recommendations about "outside involvement" seriously.
