Thank God! After Heskey's play against Leeds last Sunday, I was surprised to see him in Sven's squad.

What - the one effective game he has had for Liverpool in six weeks?
Pick your targets, eh?
Anyway, if ever you wanted evidence that Liverpool's fortunes are on the up, this is it - we expect to get at least one player back from every international squad with an injury, but usually it would be Owen or Gerrard or Murphy. The loss of Heskey is a definite plus. Baros and Owen against the Mancs next weekend, hopefully. And maybe a chance for the boy Mellor.
(although it's more likely the big lug will just recover in a couple of days ... )

You mean you're no longer a big fan of Heskey Matt? You're usually his biggest defender.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. I am not as predisposed to blanket criticism of him as most others here, but you'd have to be deaf, blind and stupid not to see his limitations. And I am rarely more than two of those things. ;)

Yep Sven's come out and said he wouldn't start even if Heskey couldn't play.
So I look forward to the Owen/Vassell partnership

I've been telling you guys Heskey just does not have it, for a while know. But heck, what do I know? I have no knowledge of the game? :) I will be very surprised to see Heskey play much more for the Nats. Mark this post.

Congratulations ... you are not deaf or blind as well as
stupid. At least we know you can cross the road in relative safety.
Shouldn't you be getting back to more pressing matters? You know ... A, B, or C?

Matt, but I can now cross the road knowing that I have a little knowledge. :) I feel like the Tinman from the Wizard of Oz. I know my A, B, C's.

a pair of COBRAS! Finally Sven is giving the young lad a chance. Every Everton match that I have seen this season (a handful), he has really impressed me, especially against Man Utd and Arsenal...a fearless attitude, not awe for the other clubs stars.

Biggest disadvantage for England is not the opponent but the venue...
...after all, it IS Sunderland. :)

Sinner, what's with all the Friedel attacks on one fo the other threads? A tad childish, no?
The best keeper in England is an Amercan. So what. That's nothing to get upset about.

Matt, those guys might be 2,3 and 4 respectively. I'd wager that the English managers would say Friedel is the best. But, what do I know?

most of my american mates seem to think cudicini is number 1 in the prem right now followed by brad. but personally i think brad is the best in the epl.
but i also think khan is the 2nd best keeper in the world and rustu recber is phenomenal, hopefully he plays like shite on wednesday. please, i just pray he does.
