We need to give Green a chance. Carroll has been really disapointing so far this season, I was never a big fan of his before and am happy we have Green to replace him. I think AP knows a) Carroll is not good enough and b) he is injured too much, thus the signing of the England stopper in the summer (he is not a back-up goalie).
Also Gabs has been playing 'orribly this season.
My line-up would look like this.........
....Green
Mears...Collins...Anton...Konch
Yossi...Bowyer....Masher....Ethers
Tevez....Harewood
That my friends IS the winning ticket.;)

Let's remember this is an away fixture.
However this is also probably the best time to play Man City. The whole Ben Thatcher thing is still lingering and they are having a bad run of form. Zamora has scored in our last two league visits to Man City. Just a useless fact I felt like pointing out.
I think it's time we saw a Tevez goal. Yeh he's still settling in etc, but he is getting closer every game and has shown enough so far to prove he can do it.

Let's remember this is an away fixture.Yes, but please no 4-5-1 like AP trotted out against Watford. I hope that, come May, West Ham doesn't regret not getting full points in that match.
Also, I think Zamora not finding the net against Newcastle gives Pardew the excuse to mix things up at the front. I'm looking for Harewood or Cole to start along side Tevez.
2-1 Hammers!

Yes, but please no 4-5-1...
Agreed. Unless it is more of a 4-4-1-1 with Tevez the deep striker.
I would like to see Cole given a chance alongside Tevez, that's assuming he is quite good in the air. To get Tevez scoring we need to start with the basics. High ball to Cole, nodded down to Tevez and goal. It worked in the semi final with Ashton and Harewood. The fancy stuff can come later.

Spot on we are really missing a target man with no Ashton. Cole has looked good in there air when when he has gotten a run out.

Collins is injured as well as Mears. :(

Why is it that our RB's keep getting injured? Is it partly due to the fact that having no real right winger means that Yossi comes inside alot, leaving the RB quite exposed?
This doesn't happen as much on the left but when it does Konchesky seems a bit better equipped to handle it, although it still leaves us exposed at times.
At least these injuries will keep Mullins happy that he is playing and ease the pressure on AP's team selection problems. I have never known a situation like this at West Ham where the manager has every reason to dread the return of some key players from injury!!

I was thinking the same thing. Probably just luck though.
