Hammarby's hope of reaching Champions League took a blow after a disapponting 1-1 draw at home in the qualifier against the Yugoslavian champions Partizan Belgrade.

Winsnes gave Hammarby the lead in the 17th minute with a great shot but Partizan drew level ten minutes before halftime after a header by Lasovic.

Hammarby now has a though task ahead of them in the second leg in Belgrade.

Hammarby were outclassed by their Yugo opponents in the return game in Belgrade
4-0 to Partizan, all goals in the second half.

Partizan now gets to play Bayern München in the final qualifying round.
