they're kinda crappy but i did em in like 5 mins...didnt put TOO much effort into it but you get the idea...want them doing anything? like slanting or on his forehead or anything like that or just leave em as is?

i didn't realize, until just now, that it's kind of similar to the barra brava logo. i might have to rethink some things, and come up with some tweaks, to make it seem not so blatant.

I'm not sure why you want the skull in the logo but here are some sugestions for having the skull logo more Philly/Franklin centric.

Put Ben Franklin's cul-de-sac long hair on the skull

Have the skull sitting on a prone kite

Have the skull sitting on the Constitution with "We The People" showing

Have the 13 circle of stars that Betsy Ross designed behind the skull

A pole at the base of the skull and lightning bolts attacking it

Put a backing like the Mummer have behind the skull and on that you can put any number of Phildelphia icons suck as the Independence Hall, City Hall, an out line of the city, etc.

I would have drawn these options up for you but I see from previous postings that that is a touchy matter.

that was one of the things, accompanied by the bifocals, that was being considered to make it more franklin-ish ... and it might make it into the logo afterall.

something like this would work with what i have in mind to make it less similar to barra brava's logo.

A pole at the base of the skull and lightning bolts attacking it
lightning bolts are very graphic and bold ... maybe accompanied by the famous key ben used too.

i'm probably going to rethink the draped banner on the SoB logo, since that (and the fact they are both skull & crossbones) makes it look like a ripoff of barra brava's logo. granted, everything's been done and nothing is really a new idea, but i don't want it to seem like blatant plagiarism.

First off, kudos to mdelrossi1 and Dillon for working out their differences. I am only saying this, because in my long years as a BS mod, I don't think I have ever seen such a peaceful transition from outright rage to righteous co-existence. If we had a BS citizen award, I would give it to both of you. Thank you! ;)

As for the logo, I agree that Ben hair might be good. I also think OKterrific and dangit77 might be on to something with lightning bolts, kites and keys. Bolts are always cool in logos. Its just begging to be done.

i say, i wouldn't want to put everything into the logo, as i think some of the best ones around are simple. i wouldn't want it to get too cluttered and busy, you know?

i would definitely like to look at the hair, because as i said before, it'll go well with the bifocals by giving him the franklin/colonial look.

the kite, as a literal element, might be one of those things that make the logo too busy. buuuuut, i think it can be worked into the design on a non-literal level. of the logos that bryan posted, i feel the bristol rovers, SE, RCB, and midnight riders work 'best' because they have a shape (circle, shield, etc) that consolidate the logo itself. what if a diamond shape (a la ben's kite) be used as a background element that 'holds' the elements of the logo?

Wheat or harvesting equipment and nautical elements are all central to the flags. That is why my initial request included a scythe and an oar.

I like the way we're headed with a Diamond shape, else we can always work the kite in elsewhere.
