Salam! Welcome to the Chivas Forum! Are you a person of Mexican descent who lives in Bahrain or an Arab who likes the Mexican National Team and by extension Mexican Football? Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara is the greatest and the most popular team in Mexico. Guadalajara only has Mexican players in their ranks. They are the only team in the Mexican League that has this tradition. I will provide you with information that will help you in answering, in part, your fascinating question. The reason for the above is I do not have a complete answer at the moment. I am researching to gather all of the results for the "Super Classic" (also called the "National Classic") of Mexican Football. I apologize for not answering your question completely.
Here are the results that I do have which are taken from a website named MedioTiempo.com:

In 1996 the structure of the Mexican League changed. The era of two tournaments per season began. Another edition of the "Super Classic" Chivas vs America will be realized next week September 30th, at 5:00PM Pacific. Do you have access to Mexican soccer games on television?
I hope that this information will assist you in your research.

I am not convinced that I have the numbers wrong. You have a Televisa source and I have a source from a Chiva hermano. If you find a neutral source let me know, I am willing to change my position by solid evidence.

I think there is something like 6 clubs in the entire world which have a policy of only employing nationals of their respective countries (or even regions, in some cases)

When did you start watching the Mexican National Team and Mexican soccer? Did you watch any of the Copa Libertadores (South American tournament for clubs) games? If so, did you see Chivas del Guadalajara play?
I clicked on the link you provided and was fascinated to see so much information about soccer. I noticed that you are very informed about soccer matches and tournaments. Of course, I do not speak Arabic so I was not able to understand the words but, I was able to discern the tournament logos and the occasional English word. I enjoyed very much your presentation of the "Super Classic" of Mexican Football. Very informative. You have the logo of the Mexican Federation in the backround, pics of the teams, and you even have a aerial picture of Jalisco Stadium and a brief history! Great work! Outstanding report! I congratulate you. Hope to talk to you soon.

In addition to Chivas, Club Saprissa (Costa Rica) and Club Nacional (Ecuador) have this policy of having national players only. Athletic de Bilbao has only players from the Basque, Navarre, and Iparralde regions of Spain. I have not researched or come across any other club that does this.

.
I started to follow the Mexican national team since 1997 almost .
But the problem is that the Mexican league is not subjected to any television channel hit us.
But I saw Copa Libertadores in the last two years
, In which it played Chivas well, and I do not forget the famous match with Boca Juniors .
Only sheer luck and the participation of the Chivas players with the Mexican team was the reason for non-qualified team to the final .

I concur, it is a wonderful report of the Clasico in Arabic.
HA! Ha! Ha! The guys in the picture are probably brothers, cousins, or friends. In a sense it is a witty picture.

Wow! You have been following Mexico for almost ten years now. I am very glad that our beloved country is creating fans in other parts of the world. I am happy that you identify yourself with our National Team.
I am sorry that the Mexican League has no exposure in your country. I hope that this will change soon so that you will be able to rejoice in seeing Chivas and other Mexican clubs every week.
You created a big smile on my face when you mentioned that memorable game against Boca Juniors. What a beautiful game! 4-0 was the score as you remember. Two great long distance goals by Alfaro and Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista. That game was a feast of good football.
I absolutely agree that our team Guadalajara was affected by the many players that the National Team took to the Confederations Cup. Did you watch the Confederations Cup?
Do you consider yourself a fan of Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara?
Thanks again.

the first Mexican team I knew was America so I liked them especially that Blanco and Luis Hernandez were players in this team.
But I like Chivas more beacause they depend on pure mexican players many of which play in the national team.
As for the Confederations cup I watched it and I liked the strong performance of the National team. If they played in worldcup 2006 withh the same performance it wouldn't have been a surprize if they won the cup.
the Confederation cup 1999 was so great especially we won the finals :)
By the way I am 20 years old so I've been a Mexico fan since I was 10 years old

As far as friendlies and other invitational type cups, they have disputed 20 with America having a slight edge 8W 5D 7L
---------------------------------------------------
Statistically speaking, it is pretty much even, however since th 1970s (and really the 60s) America has taken over and one thing they have is that they have a huge advantage over their rivals in key knockout type games. America won 2 Cup titles in the 50s beating Chivas. The playoff in Mexico is one sided with America winning every series with the exception of one (1982/83). The Copa Libertadores matches (both preliminary or not) is also one sided. The Concacaf matches are also one sided. Also, in the only league final that they have ever disputed, America won with 10 men on the field
----------------------------------------------------
America and Chivas have faced each other in 5 championship series, meaning winner takes the crown.
53/54 - America (Cup)
54/55 - America (Cup)
64 - Chivas (Super Cup)
65 - Chivas (Super Cup)
83/84 - America (League)

LMvCP: Thank you for providing the stats. Lamentably, the press waited to the day of the Clasico to provide these historical and important numbers. I would of liked to have them a week ago.

Luis Hernandez is now retired and Blanco still plays for America. Because of an injury and La Volpe not liking him (this was the chief reason) he was not selected to the National Team in the past World Cup.
The fact that Chivas has only Mexican players in its ranks was also one of the reasons that first attracted me to the club.
Mexico gained great respect in the soccer world after the Confederations Cup of 2005. Many people liked the good football exhibited by the Aztecs. Many European clubs began to take tabs of Mexican players for future job offers. If creative players such as Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista, Jimmy Lozano, and Blanco been selected, Mexico would of had a better performance in the World Cup. Another benefit would of been if we had a coach other than La Volpe.
I am very glad that you watched Mexico lift the title in 1999. I am joyful that you find inspiration in Mexican soccer. Welcome to the forum and hope talk to you soon.
