As part of UEFA's Technical Development Committee (http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=417194&CPID=22&clid=&lid=9&title=Sammer+agrees+to+Uefa+role)
I think Keith would agree with me when I say the farther away he is, the better it is for all Germans ;) Well BVB fans at least ;)

I couldn't read the article (blocked here at work). I hope this position has nothing to do with talent development.
Sammer showed in his tenures as trainer at BVB and Stuttgart that he knows absolutely nothing about that subject......

haha.
" Former European Footballer of the Year, Matthias Sammer, has joined Uefa's Technical Development Committee.
The ex-Stuttgart and Internazionale midfielder also won the UEFA Champions League with Borussia Dortmund in 1997.
He is already a chief technical director for the German Football Federation (DFB), but believes the European post was too good to pass up.
"I'm delighted to have been asked to join this committee," Sammer told the DFB's website.
"It is important for the DFB to be represented in order to guarantee that the federation has its say in the development of European football and is always informed as soon as possible about any new steps." "
