I must say as a L'OL fan I have a soft spot in my heart for Lille. You guys give OL as much as they can handle in recent years and you do it the "right way", without going on spending sprees.

I hope you guys use the cash from Keita and Bodmer wisely. A healthy L1 with Lille doing well in L1 and Europe helps everyone.

Bordeaux: towards a return of Chalmé? (02/07/2007)
To replace the side right Julien Faubert left to West Ham against 9 million euros, the Of Gironde ones of Bordeaux would think of the inhabitant of Lille Mathieu Chalmé (26 years). The player has the advantage of knowing the club well y to have made his ranges, before joining Libourne/St-Seurin then the LOSC. (By Nicolas Lagavardan)

Well so far we have only recruited Béria and Yanes.

Grégory Tafforeau is organising a football training course. Young people older than 13 years old can sign up for his course. The course is from July 30th to August 3rd. Supposely, equipment is offered with a ball, and photos of Tafforeau. One week (Monday through Friday) is 100 euros. I wonder if other LOSC players will help out.

Tafforeau has certainly been a very loyal servant to you guys, so I suppose this would be expected of him. Perhaps he'll teach them how to shoot as hard as he does with their left foot.

Hmmm, being a watcher of U-x teams, I'll have to say I don't think Béria will be anything more than average at best, and on Yanes, I don't know almost anything about him.

However, the Belgian Eden Hazard will likely be more than average. :)

Yeah, I forgot to post about that yesterday, but I did post it on the Lille blog. The contract is for three years. His former club was Egaleo FC from Athens. He is a midfielder.

There are several transfer rumors regarding LOSC right now. According to allezlesdogues.com, three additional players may arrive to the club: Djemba-Djemba, Passos, and Sterchele. Eric Djemba-Djemba is a Cameroonian midfielder. He is 25 years old and he is currently on loan to Burnley F.C. Supposely, the LOSC management sees Djemba-Djemba as Bodmer’s replacement. I still think it will be very hard for the club to replace Bodmer. I hope the management regrets his departure.

Put those three guys together and you have about a fraction of Bodmer's value, I believe. Djemba Djemba was once lined up as Roy Keane's replacement at MU. That didn't work out, obviously.

Émerson (Passos) is quite an interesting player, though. We have our sights on him as well, he's got a ton of speed.
