Odemwingie is interested in Naples:
Lille : Naples sur Odemwingie ?
Ignazio GENUARDI - mardi 19 juin 2007 - 17h06

The LOSC fansite allezlesdogues.com has an interesting article about transfer rumors concerning the club. According to the fansite, Mathieu Chalmé may leave Lille to join Rennes,Bolton, or even Bordeaux. They also say that Daniel Gygax’s future may not remain at Lille. During the 06/07 season, the striker was loaned to Lille from FC Metz. Another rumor is that several players may come to LOSC by the end of the transfer period. They believe that Metz’s Sébastien Bassong (defender) and Babacar Gueye (striker) will come to Lille. Supposely, the newly promoted club Caen will also transfer two players to LOSC, Yohan Gouffran (striker) and Jérémy Sorbon (defender). It is also believed that Lorient’s André-Pierre Gignac (striker) will be transferred to Lille for 5 million euros.

Gygax will be signing a three-year contract with Metz.

He was a talented midfielder although his breakthrough never came at Lille. One thing I'll remember is his winning goal against AEK in the Champions League. He gave Lille a special European night..

On verra. Je commence à avoir l'habitude. C'était pareil la saison passée. »

Another transfer rumor has emerged with the club. Supposely, Steaua Bucarest striker, Nicolas Dica, is another striker that has interested LOSC. A Lille OSC fansite, allezlesdogues.com, has reported that the Romanian striker is being followed by LOSC, and their rival RC Lens. J’irai là où l’on me désire le plus” (Lille and Lens are evenly in the air. I will go where I am wanted more). The fansite also said that it is more likely that Dica will move to Lille since Gignac is expected to go to Toulouse. Nicolas Dica (Nicolae Dică in Romanian) has also played for Dacia Piteşti, and FC Arges Pitesti. He has at least 17 caps for the Romanian National Team.

Lille land Yanes (http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=473673&CPID=24&clid=429&lid=11&title=Lille+land+Yanes&channel=&)
The Columbian Luis Yanes has finally completed his move to Lille.
The forward has admitted it has been a long wait for the transfer from Columbian outfit Independiente Santa Fe, but he is delighted to have the opportunity to play in the UEFA Champions League.
Lille manager Claude Puel has been chasing Yanes for some time and both parties are now happy to have the secured move.
"I have been waiting a long time for this chance because I knew that they had been following me for some time," said Yanes.
"French football is fast and very powerful.
"I have been asking things about my new team and I already know that they have reached the Champions League for the first time."
Yanes has also revealed he has been in contact with fellow Columbian Freddy Guarin, who currently plays for St Etienne, to get an understanding of life in France.
"I have spoken with Freddy and he told me that the French league is for me because they play very fast," said Yanes.
"He also told me that Lille is one of the best teams in France.
"My idea is to start to learn to speak French so I can adapt quickly and give the best of me to my team-mates and the club."

Toulouse claims that they have signed André-Pierre Gignac. Toulouse’s chairman, Olivier Sadran is now confirming that Gignac has signed a four year contract with Toulouse. “It is a settled case. Our administrative director was in Lorient on Monday. Lorient signed the last papers. Gignac has signed a four-year contract. We have followed the rules” (Sadran). Lille already said they struck a deal with Gignac with a deal around 4.5 million €. “I am sure of one thing, we had an agreement both with the player and FC Lorient” (Michel Seydoux, LOSC chairman). Sky Sports says that the Gignac transfer will be investigated by the juridicial committee of Ligue 1. According to Seydoux, Lille has experienced transfer disputes like this in the past with Abidal and Tavlaridis. This is an interesting transfer battle between Toulouse and Lille. I am not sure how legitimate Toulouse’s deal with Gignac is. We will just have to see how it turns out.

I think the new kit looks slick. As for all the additions I don't know how they will turn as they are unknowns to me. Hopefully it works out.

I've never seen Gignac play so I dont know if he's worth all this trouble but I somehow doubt it. He seems to be more suited for Lille rather than a club thats playing Champions league football.

Lille will benefit from the Abidal transfer:
