Allez Lille!

I'm not going to post in the MU forum this time, it's too much for me.

0-0 so far, Lille is going good. Now only if they could score a goal...

I'll keep hoping! :D

Man. United 1-0 LOSC (2nd Leg)
LOSC 0-2 Man. United

Well there went the last French club in the tournament. For being down a 1 goal aggregate before the match started, Lille really did not play very hard.

Lorient 0-0 LOSC

Maybe a bit offtopic but...
Do you guys remember Braamhaar? You know, the referee with your match against Man Utd. He's done the most idiot thing a referee could do. Celebrating a goal..

http://members.home.nl/goalzzz/braamhaar.gif

I would not suprised he wanted that Man Utd would win that match aswell.
Stupid referee.

That's interesting.Referees are never suppose to favor either team.

LOSC 0-2 Le Mans
http://losc.fr/images_losc/itv/vignettes/070317Reactions02.jpg

That's interesting.Referees are never suppose to favor either team.

Who said he favoured a particular team in terms of decisions? If he was made to referee a game involving a team he supports then the fault lies with whoever was responsible for putting him there. 'Celebrating' a goal is admittedly a bit of a disgrace and certainly lacking in class but not cheating by any stretch of the imagination. If he did favour a particular side in terms of decisions (which there is zero evidence of) then things would be different. It just looks like PSV fan having a whine because his team was destroyed by Ajax. Regardless, according to others the gesture was because he played advantage during the build up and was happy that the decision was proved correct. Either way, I don't see what the problem is and posted crap over here in an attempt to revisit our game is pretty stupid.

You can clearly see that it is a whining PSV fan, which makes your previous post quite bizarre.

Clearly which makes me wonder why on earth you needed to wander back in here again to post your drivel rather than just letting it go. Surely you have other people to annoy.

He chose to come into this thread and pass comment about the referee and the Man Utd game. A Lille fan felt the need to respond and I did likewise. Just to give you some advance warning but I will be posting again when we hear back from UEFA or should anything else in this thread interest me. If that annoys you then I advise you to steer well clear. It might also be a good idea to avoid all message boards if you are incapable of handling other people posting.

So other than what we can see in the video, the referee did nothing else wrong?

What fundamental point was that? Unless it's that Lille (and the rest of the world) aren't allowed any feelings other than happiness at MU's progression to the quarterfinals?

A PSV fan (btw, thanks for the clip, paganitzu) came in here and posted a criticism about their referee who incidentally also was in charge of Lille-MU. The referee expressed joy over an Ajax goal, which is obviously against the rules. If he was an Ajax fan, he should have told his domestic board that he wouldn't be able to be impartial. It doesn't matter if PSV deserved to win or lose if they can't trust their referee.

Anyway, I don't know if you've noticed yet, but you're on a Lille thread in the French forum. And while you have every right to post here, you need to realize that no matter how legal MU's win was, you can never make a fan of another team support your own.

If people want to revisit past history, so what? I have read posts by MU fans still complaining about Costinha's last gasp goal a few years ago in the CL. Do Porto fans go to their threads and tell them to stop posting about a game that happened three years ago?

And Lille fans whining? Because, of course, United fans have never whined before, have never accused an opposing team of cheating before when decisions go against them.

This is where I would say that I'm sick of the whining from United fans, but I won't. Because being a fan means that you love your team no matter what, and every call against them seems unfair to you. I feel the same way about my favorite team (Lyon), so I have done my fair share of whining. But that doesn't mean I go to the threads of my opponents expecting them to say positive things about my team.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, but please understand that not all of us on the planet like United, and some of us had the unlikely hope that they would get dumped out of the Champions League by Lille.

Douai (the Lille supporter) didn't even comment on the Man U game for goodness sake! You're reaching.

Yes, but will anyone here care? I suppose we're always up for some comic relief.

Bring an interesting, well thought out post and we probably won't be annoyed. Tote the party line without a sense of balance as usualy and all would do well do avoid anywhere you post if intellectual stimulation is their goal.
