Just in case any Gooners were curious, I saw on TV, Real Madrid and Reyes play Real Sociedad in Madrid. Reyes looked fantastic. He was very quick, agile, made great runs, outstanding passes and crosses. He even scored a goal from a FK!!!! I kept rubbing my eyes and thinking, "Who is this guy? I know he looks like Reyes, but this guy looks like the same player who bagged 2 goals against Chelsea back in Highbury!"

Anyway, Real Madrid won and he was clearly the man of the match.

He looked very confident. He got the start and was grinning
ear-to-ear during the introductions.

It's because it's his "Dream Club" unless of course Barca wanted him. I don't have a problem with JAR but I just wish he would have given that kind of effort at Arsenal.

Sorry Catphish: I couldn't care less about Reyes. I wish him well at Madrid, no hard pheelings. But he's no longer a player here and discussion of him should reside on the Madrid board.

Kind of like my opinion on the Paddy threads.....he's gone: get over it.

Although I would never wish bad-luck on a player, it does irritate me to see that he couldn't fit in here and seems to be there...but it is still early days.

Anyways, I think it is relevant to have a thrad like this...especially seeing as he is still owned by us...hopefull not for long though.

Technically he is an Arsenal player, albeit one on loan...:p

That is the reason why I made this thread. He is still owned by Arsenal.
If he keeps playing well, we might want him back or make a nice profit off of his move.

Don't see the problem if he had sold him anyways, make one thread for former players for anyone who wants to keep tabs on them. Amazingly, some people do care about players who have moved on.

Speaking of Strikers on loan...Who's going to play in the careless cup with all our reserve strikers gone. I mean Stokes, Lupoli, Bendtner, Reyes, Quincy doesn't even live here anymore. Whos gunna play?

Maybe we will go the Manyoo route and take it seriously.

If Baptista does well here, then i really wouldn't mind seeing Reyes go completely / permanently. I'm pretty sure he'll take another 2.5 years to get adjusted to the climate (maybe not :D) .. But Baptista looks to prove himself after being kicked out from RM .. So if Reyes does well and so does Bap, i wish Reyes well at RM too ..

No surprise that Reyes is doing well in Madrid. But lets remember, its still pretty much summer in Spain. ;)

Sell Reyes for Baptista + Woodgate, if they play well this season :)

Even if Woodgate plays well, i rather not see him here .. Let Gallas come back to CD, Clichy LB ..

And ever since the deal took place i was wondering wat if we like Baptista and RM not satisfied with Reyes or they like Reyes and we not satisfied with Bap ?!

i rate Woodgate but i dont think we need him i want a younf LB to be Clichy's understudy.

theres nobody in limp liga to have a go at Reyes thats why he is so comfortable there, wait till Madrid play a prem side...

Dunno about that, i watched a little bit of the Real match the other day, and Reyes got kicked around pretty well.
