The Villians have played better under new management. Can we take anything from this match?
HH should be back, so here's my lineup:
Carson
Young - El K - Fortune - HH
Rommedahl - Faye - Pouso - Ambrose
JFH - D. Bent
Subs - Myhre, Ashton, Kishishev, M. Bent, Walker

Well, not sure, but Pouso may be out with a hamstring injury. That list has got to stop growing. So, this could be the lineup.
Carson
Young - El K - Fortune - HH
Rommedahl - Faye - Kishishev - Ambrose
JFH - D Bent
Subs - Myhre, Ashton, Hughes? or Holland? or Pouso?, M Bent, Walker
I must say, Villa is playing well. I am hoping for a draw out of this one. Those of you who have access to the Fox Soccer Channel can watch this one -- more than once on Saturday even.
Go Addicks!

Missed the first half.
Charlton Athletic 0 - 1 Aston Villa
Lively start to second half.
Actual lineup to start [no subs to start the second half]:
Carson; Young, Hreidarsson, El Karkouri, Fortune; Rommedahl, Faye, Holland, Hughes; Hasselbaink, D Bent.
Subs: Myhre, Sankofa, Kishishev, Ambrose, M Bent.
I hope Ambrose and Kish come on for Holland and Hughes.
Let's go Addicks!

The radio commentators are spending plenty of time talking about how quiet the crowd is at Villa Park. No chants or songs or cheers.
One might think this is a game being played in America.
Let's hope the Addicks can take advantage of the crowd's lack of interest to make a game of it.

Well, I almost wished I hadn't listened at all. We're down 2-0 and our defense is playing like Swiss cheese. No tightness at all. We just let them waltz right in on goal. I think that is game over even with plenty of time to play.
I'm going to stop listening now. Thanks.

This has been a very rough season to be an Addicks supporter. 19th in the table with no light at the end of the tunnel as of yet.
What's gone wrong?
