Hey guys. I'm going to be in Berlin in early November and would like to attend a Hertha match. I guess my main question is will I be able to get tickets easily or do most of Hertha's matches sell out? If tickets are easily obtainable where would I go to get them? Any reccomendations on a good place to sit in the stadium? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Getting tickets usually is not much of an issue, with the exception of matches vs Schalke or Munich. Your best bet for getting tickets: http://www.herthabsc.de/index.php?id=247.

I can't ever remember the block numbers, I'm sure there's a map somewhere though.

Yea, you can also pretty much show up at the ticket office there and get one, usually for mediocre teams, we fill half the stadium up...

You can get basically anywhere too except in the OstKurve, where teh supporters sit. You can sit in the middle of the stadium probably.

Hertha have 3 home games in November (unless there is the addition of a DfB Pokal or UEFA Cup match, then there are more options), one against 1. FC Nurnberg on the 4th (should be easy to get tix, but Nurnberg and Hertha are joint top in the Bundesliga, so it could be hard), VfL Bochum on the 11th (no problem) and Alemmania Aachen on the 25th (also no problem). Hope these answer your questions :)

At the other hand I can recommend to go the supporters' section, as that is completely different from anything you have in the US or the UK.

None of those games mentioned in November will sell out, so don't worry about getting tickets now.

However, I can highly recommend buying them at a ticket office in the city and not at the stadium. The organization at the stadium is awful, and you will save yourself a major headache by getting them beforehand.

There is a ticket office on Friedrichstr. near the train station in the same building as the Dussmann bookstore, and another inside the Alexaderplatz train station. There are no doubt many others, those are just to two that come to mind at the moment.

If you can, go there a few days before the match. At least last year, computers were still a foreign concept to Hertha, so the day of the match they will have physically moved all the tickets to the stadium.

Yea, even though I've still never been to the game, I've heard many complaints about the ticket system...its pretty stupid if you ask me.
