Match is next Friday. If we win, we will top the table for 1 day at least. :-)
Anyway, will be a tough match. Kehl is still missing and Valdez is injured. So Smolarek will start along with Frei.

And that's where we've always had a problem. When there is "something" on the line......

Well, it will be tough as any match in Moenchengladbach is. However, I think they are suffering from what I call "Heynckesitis".
Meaning, they have a guy on the bench who the game has passed by, he has his job because he's a club legend and his team is showing it.
I mean, who the f#ck gives up four goals to freakin' Alemannia Aachen?? Who makes Jan Schlaudrauff look like Ronaldinho??
They will be anxious to make up for that. I think we will have to be patient and take advantage of their mistakes.
From what I've seen of them this season, they always make them......

I agree with Keith. Whenever our team has a chance to take a big step... they always crack and disappoint. So I really wouldnt expect anything better than tie in this game. But if this team wins, then perhaps the team has finaly learned what it takes to be one of the best again.
Will Kehl be available? His injury has gone a few weeks over the estimate they gave us.

Even if we win, I'd still be skeptical. But, I always am. It's the "Philly Phan" in me.
However, if we do win, it would break two "so-called" hexes on this BVB team.
One, winning with about a 22 hour stay in first place on the line. As I said before, we almost never win with "something" on the line.
Two, can anyone remember the last time this club won three Bundesliga matches in a row? I can't. We've won two in a row quite a bit, but I can't remember the last time we won three in a row.

I haven't seen anything concrete, but I don't think he'll be available.

Small piece from "kicker" today.......
Borussia Duel On The Rhein
At home tops, away flops. Gladbach seems to be repeating last season with their two home victories and two losses (both away) so far this season. Last season, Gladbach won 31 points at home compared to just 11 points away. This Friday, Dortmund, who has won three of the last six matches at the home of their namesakes, come to Gladbach.
For the Rhein club, 19 year-old van den Bergh might make his first appearance in the starting eleven.
BVB will be missing striker Valdez, who has a torn thigh muscle. Smolarek will play in his place.
The winner of the match takes over first place in the Bundesliga at least until Sautrday.
****Let's go Ebi! This is your chance!

I totaly agree it's like the team revolved around him, look whats happend with out him, has anyone got more than 18 goals in the league NO. Then when we do get tallent oh there we go again lets sell'em for some obscure amount like Ewerthon what we baught him for £4.8M the sold him for somthin like £2m crap you can bang on about the financial situation but if you have nothin you cant win anythin. Oh i also seem to remember somene called evanilson eho we boaught for what £4m sold him for oh let me see £0M what a profit. And the latetest Rosicky £11.5M loss so he wanted to go but why did all you blame him for losing matches, maybe if you didn't he would still be there oh yeah and these players have been released or sold by BvM

I am not going to lie to you BVB fans:
I do not know what the f**k is going up with Alexander Frei!
This guys is an "extremely good" striker that does not miss chances, works a lot for the team, creates opportunities and make other players score. (But yes he also shots on the posts way too much)
But now altough I am a hudge fan of Alex, I must admit that as a BVB fan I am scared...!!! Back when he first started playing for Rennes, it took him a year to get use to the team and then he became the best scorer of the French League.
Conclusion: with Valdez not having even scored a single goal and Smolarek in (extreme) trouble I am really scard of the next game!!
I missed this game (again  :o ) since I was at work... but feed back would be great! The more info the better!

that was absolutely f*****g ridiculous that display not one of our players played remotely well those chances by frei were easy smolarek done nothin brzenska didnt come back in the lead up to the goal worns was all over the place i cant believe van marijwik kept on frei for as long as he did. though Tyrala looks handy.that was the worst defending i have ever seen since we got put out of the uefa cup by Sochaux.

Not true at all, you do not know what you are talking about. There are plenty of great defender in France....
Who cares anyway, thats not the problem!
If Frei managed to score 30 goals in 50 games with the Swissteam I am sure he will be able to score soon for BVB. However, the key question is: when

Do you ever wounder why people pick on you ? because your f***** fat no. it's because you haven't got a clue what so ever, my point has been we need an ambitious striker who can get goals maybee like frei but then you you go and knock him down by saying it has to be a crap defence for him to score, and i belive there not in france, so it's not me you should question about being on the bandwagan fan. When did you start supportig BVB HeyaBVB ? 1997? 2002? eh:confused:
