View Full Version : Matchday 5: Gladbach-BVB [R]

@ Keith
I think you lack a guy like Sammer ... and we a guy like Effenberg. I wonder how we could win this game without any playmaker (Insua seems to have serious problems at the moment and his replacement after interval was comprehensible).
My respect for your long analysis, which shows what a hardcore BVB supporter you are. You seem to be very pissed off (not even the Irish make use of that "f...ing" word more often :D ) ... so I have to console you by telling that I felt much more pissed off after our game in Aachen! In comparison to our performance at Tivoli (and this in a derby!), your team played really solidly! Therefore I think your criticism is a bit harsh, especially when you consider the fact that Mönchengladbach is one of the best home teams in BL and our players had to make up a lot after the disaster from Aachen. The situation just reminds me of last season, when we played terribly in another derby (in Köln) ... and then defeated Werder Bremen at home. Somehow I've got the feeling that our players (maybe yours, too) always need a kick in the ass!
So please take it with more calmness and trust in your young team & great manager (I like Bert very, very much). How I told you, I didn't see you that bad and think that we were simply too determined on that evening! Who knows how things would have turned if you managed to take advantage of our 2 blackouts before interval...
PS: I'd like to hear @smithfan's comment about the game (especially if she was at stadium) ... however it seems that she still didn't get over the defeat. Maybe I should cheer her up, too:-)

The season just started ... so don't panic ... even loosers like BMG win a thing once

And miss all the good action everyone except us seems to be putting out these days?? ;)
If you saw my comments, I think Frei, Kruska and Kringe were our worst players.
I agree with you that Pienaar was awful and disappointing, but you could see that he was at least giving an effort.
The others mentioned looked like they just didn't give a shit.

I don't think anyone is panicking yet. We're just f#cking pissed off. Even the players are too. They know they should be doing better.
EDIT: BTW, we're going into Week 6. I'd hardly agree that "The season just started." 15 points have already been played for and after Friday night that number for us will be 18. We really didn't need to lose five of the eight points we have so far. I guaran-f#cking-tee you that will make a difference at the end of the season.

Our "loosers" have won more games than you until now! :p
And don't forget that you lost the last few games in Mönchengladbach, too (except for one lucky 3:2 win 3 years ago)...so there's no reason to be arrogant, mate!

So ? If we would use our potential it would be clear who has the better team

Dude, please stop it. The bottom line is we didn't play to our potential and they f#cking won. No excuses.
They won fair and square.
This "if we had played to our potential" shit means nothing.
If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.
Gladbach beat us.
They have bragging rights.
If we beat them in Dortmund, then we can talk shit again, but until then, they won and they get to brag.
They won deservedly. We didn't get screwed by any referee's call or any shit like that. If we had, that would be a different story. Believe me, that would be an entirely different story.
However, we got screwed by our own players' lack of performance.
Gladbach's players seemed to want the three points more than our players and they won the match.
That's the bottom line, not any of this "if we had played to our potential" shit........
Looks like children bickering.
Congratulate them and move on. We've got to worry about Hannover tomorrow night.

Everyone's holding their breath to see which Dortmund team comes out of the tunnel...At least that's how I am. Will we see Dortmund play to their potential? Or will we see them stoop to the competition's level? Or will they play well and squander tons of chances and/or leak a late goal or two to deny points? It's a grab bag with this lot and it's giving me ulcers...and I'm sure I'm not alone...

No, you're definitely not alone! But check out the Frei article I'm about to post to the BVB v. Hannover thread.
I hope the rest of the team has his attitude......

But don't forget mate: Es gibt nur eine Borussia! Eine Booorussia! And that's Gladbach, not BVB!:D

Nothing against Dortmund and I normally don't diss other teams except Bayern and Chelsea but calling my team a bunch of loosers by a Dortmund fan ha!! Gladbach is the original Borussia period. Older, better history more silverware so on and so on, Dortmund has no bragging rights what so ever! Also I hate it when Dortmund is refered to as just Borussia  woooo they won the CL in 97 so that makes them better ppffff I rank Dortmund 2nd only behind Bayern as my most disliked team!!!!!
BTW we hold the Bundesliga record on ya 12-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh please. And what did that 12-0 get you? 2 points. And your sorry asses still lost the title.
Get real. Borussia Moenchengladbach is a dinosaur whose best days are long gone and they aren't coming back anytime soon.
I suggest you keep your black and white, reel to reel movies of the good old days, for that's all you'll ever have.

LOL!! :)
Honestly, I know about the "Borussia" rivalry, but despite all of that and my comments, I don't "hate" Borussia Moenchengladbach.
Not along the lines that I "hate" Schalke and Bayern.
I can't say that it's a "like" either. I believe it's respect.
But I guess the rivalry overshadows everything, eh?? :D
