Hopefully some of the good play we saw in the RB Salzburg game will spill over into this one. Hughes has mentioned that he may do some squad rotation for this game, so I have no idea what kind of lineup will be out there.
For Man City, US winger DaMarcus Beasley might make his debut today.

2-2 at halftime. Pedersen has done well for himself, but the defense has not.
Pedersen was involved in the first goal, as his free kick was deflected in by Trevor Sinclair. Joey Barton equalized on 39 minutes, when once again there was acres of space in the center of defense. Pedersen's free kick on 44 minutes beat Nicky Weaver cleanly, but the lead only lasted a minute. Corradi's cross took a deflection off of Ooijer and went past Friedel. Ugh.
Beasley came on for Trabelsi in the first half.

Nonda took a quick throw into Pedersen who fed McCarthy for the goal. 3-2. :)

Emerton pulls it back to Gallagher who finishes this game off nicely. 4-2. :D

So it ends 4-2.
A tale of two halves, to say the least. We tightened things up nicely in the back after a poor first half, and found more goals to finish it off. If we can start keeping some balls out of the back of the net, we'll be up the table soon rather than later.

Thanks again to FSC's wonderful selection of games, I was not able to see the match. Can someone post some grades for the players?
I saw the post of Ooijer's header. I'll chalk that one up to bad luck until someone tells me differently. I love to rip that guy, but I'd like to do it for things that he is doing wrong, not for things that just happen.

the first half was pritty poor and if city had put their chances away we would be embaraced.i think some of the players must have still been in salzburg but the second half was a much improved performance.nonda came on and impressed and if he gets going i think he is going to be one hell of a player for us

We really need Nonda to come in and spark some fire. I think he can do it.
