They said he'll start full training mid-september, and today is the 15th. Maybe I'm too anxious, but is there any update on his status?

Sebastian Deisler celebrates return (http://www.fcbayern.t-com.de/en/news/news/2006/09402.php?fcb_sid=2a285c82488472f7c9c87e4aed2dc81e)
Sebastian Deisler has resumed training with the senior squad just under six months after the latest in a long and miserable series of knee injuries. The 26-year-old took part in Tuesday's squad session, his first workout with the first team since undergoing surgery in the spring. "I'm feeling good. I'm delighted to be back playing football again," the player declared after the 75-minute routine

If he returns healthy he could be a real boost to the team playing on the right or in front of Van Bommel

After his injuiry in 2004 it took him a year an a half to find his form so I'm am not expecting much from Diesler.

My thoughts exactly. Anything we get from him is a pure bonus to the season.

I'm with you on that.
I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised though.

what unlucky player he is !
he missed three major national competitions, WC 2002, EURO 2004, and WC 2006 !

As long as he can cross the ball and take better corners than Schweini he's an upgrade over Brazzo.

Deisler is a great skipper who can inflict a lot of damages in the enemies territories. Our right flank has been weaken by his absence.

He started full training some time ago. Why hasn't he played for the reserves yet? Goerlitz has played 3 matches for the reserves now...

I have a lot of trust in our medical unit; just hoping everything is going fine with the 2 players.
It will be nice to see Deisler get some stretches of his legs before the winter break after that it will be total combative charge in the 2 leagues and one cup! We need him and Goelitz!
