are there any candidates for the new boca coach?

Lavolpe sucks

Ramon Diaz anyone??

In all seriousness the key moments in the game were when Ledesma got the red, he was playing really well and after he left the team missed him. Also the changes by LaVolpe (Guillermo=Calvo) and by Simeone (Galvan=Benitez). Benitez really played well while Galvan was having a terrible game. While Schelloto was playing on the edge of a card (IMO) you can't take him out in an important game even if you are trying to hold on to the lead. Where was Datolo? was he hurt?

It is good to know there are some Bosteros with class:

I agree that Boca has more talent, but the way they've both been playing lately, and considering their emotional state after last Sunday's results, I think Estudiantes has an edge.

But Boca is going to win. We gotta keep the faith.

But Boca is going to win huh?? Gee ASF, this post must've been on the Boca bulletin board inside of the locker room.

No need to get mean Muneco, we didn't even get this close :(

In all fairness, good game by Boca. The Ledesma red card was question by the commentators on TyC but I saw his leg come down... oddly shall we say, I think Pezzotta was justified (although he could have just as easily gone with a yellow). You were done in more by the fact that you couldn't cement your lead while you dominated in the first half, and then two great goals in the end by Sosa and Pavone.

Regardless, congrats for a good game, even though Cahais was useless throughout and deserved a red for going studs up straight into I believe Galvan's shin (left him bleeding)

Not getting mean at all Mega. Just calling out someone who's talking through his ass.

Guille has been offered the job as DT, but turned it down for being too soon. He will still be part of the team.

Tata Martino also moved aside as he will be appointed head coach of Paraguay.

Miguel Angel Russo is the main candidate ... with a slight possibility are Ribolzi or Cagna.

No love for el Loco? Palermo recently got his manager's badge I think.

Seems it will be Russo. :D

He is exactly what Boca needs, taking care of the youngsters and developing them wisely, without burning them. Serious ... a winner.

I simply can't believe to see La Volpe leaving Boca after such a short period of time!

The disappointment seems to be immense after the shocking championship loss...

Damn, he's just the guy I didn't want to see at Boca.. I've liked him for a long time, and after he won the tournament with Velez I liked him even more.

I would have prefered Ribolzi or Cagna a thouuuuusand times over this guy..
Oh well.

Yes you are reading this correctly Datolo is injured and insted of playing Ledesma, Franzoia, or anyone else Lavolpe's playing Calvo in the midfield .

Vamos Boca Tri-Campeones!!!! sorry to bring this back

was that the most used line up for lavolpe?

I recall that he was always in favor of the pibes and youth in general: maidana and datolo and franzoia were regulars?

cual era la formacion habitual de ricardo?

i dont think he was a big fan of datolo and it took forever for datolo to finally recover/regain confidence from the yellings/puteadas lavolpe gave him during practices. And it was more of a 3-5-2. He made Morel play as CM  and wanted Ibarra to play RM instead of RB (Ischia tried this in one game too) and it just does not work. Ibarra gets lost in that position. maidana was only brought in because out of nowhere silvestre was dropped from the team and enver played again (and then ended up in Catania) which was a shame

Didn't Lavolpe give Bertolo a lot of minutes at Boca?

Guillermo Marino completely forgot about that guy. Where is he now?

El otro Guille I think is playing for Tigres in Mexico. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. That boludo picked up some nice silverware while doing absolutely nothing for BOCA. Nicolas Bertolo did get some minutes under LaVolpe but I'm pretty sure it wasn't much. One thing for sure is that he didn't last long at BOCA after LaVolpe left.
