Today we, the fans of Boca Juniors, say goodbye to Alfio Ruben 'Coco' Basile. The former Racing and Huracan star, and coach of Argentina's last Copa America winning squad, came to Boca when he was seemingly near the end of his long coaching career. At the time things didn't look too good. 'Chino' Benitez had resigned in disgrace, and Boca seemed to many to be on the way down. Basile was backed by Diego Maradona, but he was resisted by many in Boca's family.

What a difference one year makes! Coco not only won over the fans, but with him at the helm, Boca Juniors won everything he played... up to now. One Recopa, one Sudamericana, One Clausura, One Apertura. This success led him to be chosen to lead the National Team.

Tonight we say goodbye to Coco. Hopefully, we can watch Boca beat Sao Paulo and finish the cycle with yet another trophy. But no matter what happens in this match, I think we have to be grateful to Coco, for the great team that he put together.

Goodbye Coco. And thanks for all the titles.

Now lets go get the Brazilians.
AGUANTE BOCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right. I got to get rid of Charlie. With this win over Sao Paulo, 'las heridas dejaron de sangrar'. :D

(But I have to wait a day at least, or I'll be visited by the mod police.)
