Weaker opponent, but these are the games we tend to make difficult for ourselves. :-|

so....should Santa Cruz start? ;) :D

I think we should deploy the same formation from yesterday. Its perfect for weaker opponents. This formation requires SC in it DF;) :)
BAyern should win this,no doubt at all.Furthermore they must try to win the games with style, the way KHR talked about;)

at home 4-3-1-2 formation, away the 4-4-2 formation with Owen and Demichelis as def. midfielders

And it's on GOLTV live, I think Makaay will start this one with Poldi or Pizza...

I just hope whether it's SC, Roy, Poldi, or Pizza, that our forwards get some goals. ;)

No it is not but we will have 4 BL games this weekend
Friday Wolfsburg-H96
Saturday Bremen-VfB
Dortmund-HSV
Sunday Hertha-S04
not bad :)

I can't see Podolski starting. Makaay was on the bench and if he is fit he will probably be playing. If we go with two strikers I wouldn't be surprised to see Santa Cruz paired with Makaay. Pizarro was solid but I think he'd favor Roque over him. But if we do the three man thing I think Podolski would be the one of the 4 left out, just to rest a little and come on later as a sub

Of all Bielefeld games in recent memory I remember the snowgame the clearest where we got our asses kicked.......

Bielefeld is not to be underestimated.

I would use the same line up used against Spartak with Makaay starting alongside Podolski and Piza or SC coming in later on.

Are you sure that it will be on Gol TV? As of Wed 13 Sep, the on-screen Dish Network guide just lists paid programming at 9:30am and Futbol UEFA at 10:00am.

DF... you know better than to open that can. (tisk tisk) ;)
Should be its own thread. Why do people always hate the pretty ones?

This is more in line with what Magath's past "trends" for formations has been... that being an away formation and a home formation. Limiting errors on the road and countering off mistakes is the key with him. I think your assessment is right on.

Plus, it is highly unlikely that the SAME starting XI will appear this weekend. Typically, Magath will use certain players specifically because they are European-saavy... great example was Ze Roberto and Lizarazu last year. They always seemed to start CLS matches but were only now-and-again starting in the Bundesliga games.

Regardless, we need the full 3 points.
A convincing win would help boost moral and continue the vibe that last Tuesday started!!

a Rushmore picture...too creepy??? I like to throw you guys off every now and then. :p I am close to I-35as well. LOL

Had to throw something on Santa Cruz in there to make you guys laugh....cuz the poor guy, who I have even criticized, needed a break from the Big Soccer Bayern rant.

this three striker thing is too much of a gamble, imo... theres no denying we got a bit lucky vs spartak, so id like to see felix revert to a 442 on the weekend...

the famous five

van bommel, owen, demi, schweini (dont really care what midfield shape they begin with)

makaay* poldi

* only cos pizzas a home-boy, although we could use his workrate for this away fixture...
