More monkey noises..this time Rostock fans against Gerald Asamoah.

THe main issue should be though...how should the DfB/Bundesliga deal with this. This hasn't been the first time.

Yeah I thought a lot about that yesterday after I saw that interview with Gerald in tv.

I'd like the ref to stop the match until the fans indentified the idiots and throw them out themselves.

If the don't do it because they are afraid or sympathize with them then more drastic measures should be taken.

A while ago I wrote about my experiences in Cottbus which were quite terrible and afterwards I got so mad because the media and public seemed to totally ignore what happenend.

The leagues should make it clear that they don't want to have this in the stadiums. They are so hard on fans that have flares but when it comes to racism there is a whole lot of ignorance.

Look what happenend in Aachen! And then people wonder why players like the Altintops or Sahin don't feel German????

The Boatengs could also tell some pretty horrific tales from their playing days.

The question is what does public outcry actually accomplish? The "Lichterketten" didn'T seem to work...

I completely agree, this is a huge problem. Especially since everything that happens in Germany like this is put under a microscope. The DFB needs to fine the clubs whos supporters do it, and also kick out the fans who make the gestures. this needs to stop.

Terrible! How can a German humanbeeing, with that history, behave like that?

I think this is acutally a reason why this gets so ignored. Like "If we don't talk about it and make a big fuss others won't even know it happened!".

What about revoking the approbation for Rostock to be venue for the national team's next game?

Imagine that Gerald will get abused for a 2nd time in that stadium...

Yes, this is a problem and makes me angry.
It should punished hard.

If somebody is convictable for doing it,
he should get a stadium ban and the company
he works at should be informed about it..

If "fans" of a club do racist things at a match,
the club should loose its points for the match and
should play its next match without spectators.

 a reminder why I hate east germans so much

The best solution would be, if the clubs where something like that happpens would have to play matches without an audience.

That way you bring up the normal audiecence against the racists.

It also forces the clubs to finally do something against their right radical fan scene.

I think it's not fair to generalize & "hate" all east germans! I know many of them who are very ok and are ashamed of those idiots, too!

At least we don't have 'racial profiling (http://www.aclu.org/racialjustice/racialprofiling/index.html)' yet. And in Germany it's against the law to put someone in jail without the right to defend himself, just because of his origin. Or don't muslims count?

Considering Germany and specifically the problems we face in soccer. I don't know what to do. But at first harsh punishments are necessary, and things like that have to make public.
Otherwise, I resign and don't think that much will change in the next years. As long as people who live for decades in Germany still are labelled as foreigners, nothing will change.

But as everyone who watches sitcoms knows, this will end in a catastrophe.

What happened in Aachen?

A few weeks ago the Altintops gave an interview where this passage was discussed by the media

http://www.zeit.de/2006/32/Altintop-Interview?page=4

so the following game the Aachen fans who propably read that interview called them "Scheisstürken"

Well it looks like something is happening

DFB-Kontrollausschuss ermittelt wegen rassistischer Vorkommnisse in Rostock

lets hope it will be more than just a monetary penalty

It will only stop when the players for the teams whose fans are doing this speak up. Don't just interview Assamoah; interview some Rostock players.

As for what to de when it happens, clear and severe rules have to set out. That could inclulde forfitting the game, but the rulse have to be clear and not left too much to the discretion of the match official, because uneven application would be a nightmare.

If teams were afraid that it might start costing them points and serious sums of money, they would take a more proactive approach.
