Hello to Anfield Road,

As knowing about the old friendship between Celtic & Liverpool, I'd be interested to hear if you are still aware of the Liverpool & Borussia link. There have existed very close ties between both clubs & fanships for many years (not only that we had the same sponsor Reebok), unfortunately it cooled down lastly due to the new fan generation. :( If you make a trip to the new Borussia-Park ( http://www.borussia.de/de/home,117007,0.html ), you'll notice that many Borussia fans are wearing combined green/red scarfs...and there is also a Borussia/Liverpool fanclub which often attends the home games of both teams.

Since the relationship between both clubs sadly cooled down and our last friendly took place in 1995, the famous "Fanprojekt MG" ( http://www.fanprojekt.de ) started a petition, where everyone can sign in for a pre-season 2007/2008 friendly between Borussia Mönchengladbach & Liverpool FC at Borussia-Park!

Let's hope that we'll be successful to get the game and have a great party together next summer! ;) TRADITION NEVER DIES BUT UNITES US!!!

If you are interested in joining our official forum for discussing with us, please have a look at http://www.borussia.de . We have installed an English version of the site and inside the forum ( http://forum.borussia.de ) you can find an English speaking section; nearby there is an own Liverpool thread in German...

Cheers

PS: Here a pic I took during the WC in Nuremberg with a Pool fan:

It'd be nice to see them celebrate the anniversary of Rome next summer.

I'm a real big fan of the high-banked, square-ish German arenas. Beautiful.

Outside of the stadium is strange...inside is very cool.

I think your English stadiums are great, too. However it's a pity that the Anfield Road will get demolished (the same what happened to our famous Bökelberg - 2 years ago). :(

I'm really curious to see the look of your new stadium...

I'm intrigued by this relationship. When I was in Sweden yonks back, one of my favourite players was Martin Dahlin who turned out for you guys.

He moved to Blackburn but got an injury (back, I think) from which never recovered and had to retire. He was running some kind of clothing line in Sweden, the last time I heard.
