Inspired by the thread Peter Crouch...World Class. We should have a poll.
All discussions should continue in the ongoing thread in the below link
"Peter Crouch...World Class?" (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=404720)
The subjective poll options are as follows
1. All-time Great
2. World Class Legend
3. Very Good International Class
4. Good International Class
5. Adequate National Squad member
6. Very Average Premiership Club Player
7. Poor Premiership Club Player
8. Utterly Useless and shouldn't be in the premiership at all
Hang loose guys.

Multiple choice option is also on.
There are different "legends" sorry I only made "World Class Legend" option but International Legend, Premiership Legend or club legend has it's place, I guess.
;)
Oh well hang loose in the meanwhile.

Who the hell voted 'all - time great'?! It could just be me, but I can't quite see any similarities betwwen Crouch and Pele. Crouch and a tumour, perhaps. But Maradonna? No.

Who the hell voted utterly useless, it might just be me but I've never ever seen an utterly useless player score a goal like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeJdWEYK36g.
I don't remember any useless players scoring 10 goals in 9 games for England either.
Very good international class is probably the most accurate.

Uruguay, Jamacia, T&T and Hungary. Those are just some of the international giants he's scored his 9 goals against.
He scored 1 impressive goal, that is it. People like you think it vindicates the dozens of chances that he has missed and makes he a good player. He plays for Liverpool, a team that makes a huge huge number of chances each game. Yet he has only scored 9 times in 33 games for them. Don't try and pull the old "Oh he's a targetman" line either because he is even worse at that. He's first touch and ball control are questionable at best. His heading is terrible for a player of his height.

One impressive goal? What total nonsense, the majority of Crouch's goals are very impressive, the one for the hat-trick against Jamaica was a beauty, the one against Macedonia was superb, there was a couple of very well taken lobs last year, some very nice headers, the ones against Andorra were very good too.
Rooney is very highly rated (and so he should be) but how many international giants has he ever scored against? Just one and that was in a friendly. The reason is England rarely play against international giants. I don't think Crouch has actually started a game against any yet so it's a ridiculous point to make. He did however play very well when he came on against Argentina playing a big part in turning what looked like it would be a 2-1 defeat into a 3-2 win.
9 goals in 33 games for Liverpool? Er, no thats just in the premiership, He has scored 18 in 55, many of which he didn't start.
Including England he has scored 29 goals in 69 games in the last season and a bit, which is very good. As for having questionable first touch, only if the answer to the question is it's very good. If you don't rate him at least try and come up with some half decent reasons why.

I think I've just proven my point there. How hard is it to score a good goal against Jamacia, Macedonia nad Andorra?

Rooney doesn't need to prove himself with international goals. People already know he's the best English player. It's people like you that hype up Crouch with his international record even though it's against crap. That entire paragraph doesn't have any relevance

ZOMGBBQ 18 in 55 is a much better record.

His first touch is terrible, the number of chances he wasted last season with it was unbelievable.
I don't rate him, he is an overrated freak who is only in the England squad because he plays for Liverpool. Half decent reason? I'll give complete reasons. He doesn't score enough, he can't play a holding role and there are atleast 5 English players better than him.

He's not quite world class but he's better than some people give him credit for, very good player.

How would you know how hard it is to score against Macedonia, Jamaica and Andorra, have you ever scored against them? I didn't see anyone else scoring against Macedonia.
Crouch doesn't need to prove himself with international goals either, he's done very well in the premiership with Liverpool and Southampton and is one of the top scorers in the champions league so far as well, not to mention he has a great record in the other cups. 18 in 55 games, 46 starts is good for a striker, around a goal every 3 starts = very good, a goal every two starts = prolific. Crouch's form this season has been prolific whilst Shevchenko, the former world player of the year and often considered one of the best strikers in the world has one in 9 games so far.
His first touch is not terrible, you're just showing your ignorance there. Also when he first got in the England squad he played for Southampton and he scores plenty, best record of any England player for England. There may be 5 English players better than him but there certainly isn't 5 English strikers better than him. You call those complete reasons? Complete rubbish.
