After being placed in the bench in the Chivas vs Atlante match, el Chato admits that he is not the type of player to fit in Chepo's scheme.

"Estoy tranquilo, he tratado de estar bien, no creo que haya jugado malos partidos, pero creo que el planteamiento es para otro tipo de jugadores, uno trabaja para ganarse un puesto y espero poder estar el sábado"

When i watch, it seems like the only time his name is announced in the broadcast is when they name off the roster. Other than that, the guy doesnt really seem to do much that i notice. Its like the ball just goes around him as opposed to through him.

hey guys i have a question and i didnt really know where to ask it, so i guess i should ask it here..

ok i dont understand what they mean when they say double nationalidad.. i dont get that.. i know it means u can choose from one side or the other..

but heres my question.. lets say i was born here (use) and both of my parents were born in mexico.. would that mean that im also 100 mexican or does that mean that tambien i have the double nationalidad..
cause ive heard ppl say that if ur parents are both mexican and u were born here
u would have no proble playing for mexico...

cause they go by that rule that the president says.. "hijos de padres mexicanos nacido en el extranjero son siempre 100% mexicanos"

so yeah i just want to know how that pans out!! thanks and sorry if i make no sense..

Yes, if Mexico has had one Argentine player in its last two World Cups, i dont see why someone born in the US couldnt play for Mexico. But thats not to say a child born to Mexicans in the United States would be welcome. There are several super nationalist dumbasses on BigSoccer that feel the Mexican National Team should consist of people that were born and raised in Mexico. This is the type of question that gets threads locked, because the nativists come in talking bad about "chicanos" or whatever other names they got for those that are not "real" Mexicans in their opinion. Once someone has made their choice though they cannot go back on that and decide to play for the other team he was eligible for instead.

Let stay on Topic : Chato Sucks Donkey balls.

I never agreed with this aquisition, and despite a few good games he never convinced me. Hopefully we can find a club to trade him to or sell him. Maybe the directiva can bring back JP Garcia, although I wouldnt wish JP Rodriguez on Chivas USA.

i dont think he sux balls but is good at times, havent seen much of him since the season has started, did see him in libertadores though. but vergara is a dumbass at times, weve had some good players and have sold them, look at sahba who went to cruz azul, he hardly EVER played. the list goes on but ya, chivas needs to stop switching players all the time and let the squad get comfortable with each other and be able to play together with more eaze. :) :D

Lamentably, I did not have the foresight that you had. I have to admit that, initially, I was glad to see el Chato incorporated to our team. He had an excellent season with Tecos when they became sub-champions. However, today I am not satisfied by his very poor performance. He should not be in the starting lineup.

I agree that Chato played decently (Pre-Sao Paulo) in Libertadores. I have watched every single game by our team (except for the game in Queretaro because of work) and he has played awful football throughout the tournament. I have watched him closely. He has had poor tackling, no sense of anticipation, very slow in his speed, no offensive vision, and he lacks love for the jersey. He does not hustle like a Santana, a Diego, or a Bravo. His performance brings me disgust.

Hermano chiva, Chato has had more than enough time to get comfortable with the squad. Why should he be rewarded with playing more games when he has demonstrated that his football is ineffective and gray.

No foresight really, I just remembered many key games with the Mexican National team where el Chato was useless. And even more so than the National team Chivas only fields Mexicans.

Hence, I knew that in International competition Chato would not be one of the players I could count on. In league play he has allways been descent but I reckon we could do without him and the money spent aquiring him, which going by the negotiations seemed to be a hefty sum, could have been better spent elsewhere.
