About time I started one.

Berbatov almost certain to be out with a groin injury (10 days to 2 weeks). Thank god we signed Mido and he looks in better shape.

King will hopefully be back, not seen this confirmed though.

Possible team:

-------------Robinson

Chimbonda--Dawson-King--Ekotto

Lennon--Davids--Jenas---Teemu T

---------Keane---Mido

Possibly could see Keane on the left and Defoe in.

We need a result here, and I'm confident we can get one even with ManYoo starting well and us starting badly.

How about "Yanited" or "Man Usa"? That better? ;)

I hear Saha is out injured for France, who thinks he'll be back for Man Utd on saturday?

Scholes is out and Rooney is out aswell, suspensions.

Yawnited ! :D

Yes Saha is out for france but should be fit for the match if not ....we might use Giggs and Ole up front !

New 433 system. Lots of new starters: Chimbonda, Ekotto, Zakora and the injured Berbatov are all brand new; Mido and King are returnees who haven't played in the team all season. That's about 5 of the 10 field players who will have no chemistry. Spurs will be a bit like Babylon, at best fits and spurts of offense, and hopefully not too many breakdowns defensively.

But honestly, with Chimbonda (new since last game), Ekotto (new this season), King (first game back) and Dawson (sole returnee) all new to some degree, I expect the defensive line to be a bit of a shambles. In front of that we add Davids (thank goodness he's here) or Zakora (still looking very confused and timid) and Jenas (Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde) and a new role for Lennon (from left winger to licence to create). I expect to see Spurs have a lot of lapses defensively. No matter who plays for Manchester United, those lapses will be punished.

In my mind, the men to decide this match will all be wearing Spurs shirts. Unless at least 2 of Keane, Mido and Robinson have excellent games, Manchester United will win this one.

I would go along with that. Only change perhaps with Zokora in, i think he should play instead of either Davids or Jenas.

Man Utd are playing well at the moment and we have an awful record at Old Trafford, can't see us getting much :(

Berbatov will play according to talkSPORT. I just wish Defoe could start and No-Leg's-Davids was dropped. Here is how I think they will line up.

Oh yes....and we'll lose 3-1.

For those of you who don't know me, please don't think I'm a pessimist. I am in fact, a realist. I cannot see us getting anything from this game. If we draw, then that will make my day.

And can we please start Jeramin Defoe?

i think we're gonna win. Presumably Neville's out too eh? Not in the england squad anyway. No Scholes or Rooney, so they have 2 decent players then, Ronaldo and Giggs. Ferdinand's not bad either but the rest ain't so great.

2-1 to the yids, Keane & Mido. Davids to start on the left with Zok & Tainio in the middle. Keane & Mido up front.

Mido is not shit, and Berbatov will be a big loss. But it's lucky we have 4 to cover this sort of situation.

Mido had a goal every other game last year, and this year he's lost 2 (much needed) stone.

Unfortunately, Digital, I think you're spot on (apart from your refusal to spell Zokora's name properly :) ).

It'll take something special (or at the very least - unexpected) for us to win this one. Given all the factors you mentioned, I'd be very happy with a draw.

....so you like Defoe & Jenas. Berbatov has your stamp of approval. But you seem to be mystified over Mido? Any reason for that?

Well since it is likely that we be getting losing streak with them we might as well play a 4-3-3 and open up and go on to more attacks in the wings etc. most of the player in the squad have played 4-3-3 at some time before, so it would be right up their alley.

just thinking outside the square here.

Hang loose guys

I am actually quite optimistic about this one. united will be without rooney, scholes and heinze - maybe neville too. whilst we should be welcoming back the league's best defender. king's absence has been the main reason for our poor start IMO. personally I hope Jol drops jenas and starts Zokora instead, but I don't see that happening unfortunately. thus I see us starting just as sendorange suggested. as for united they will probably line up like this:

-------------Van der Sar

Neville---Rio---Brown---Silvestre

Ronaldo--Carrick--O'Shea---Giggs

---------Saha---Solskjaer

TBH i really don't see their team as any stronger than ours, and whilst they have had a strong start they have also had a very easy start. For us, the everton and bolton games were disappointing to say the least but both those teams will be competing for european places this season (whilst all 3 of united's opponents so far will be fighting relegation!).

Prediction: 1-1. but I see a real chance for us to get all 3 points.

In terms of individual quality I'd back us against them without a doubt, although the problem is that we're lacking chemistry at the moment. Quite a few new players and some of them new to the Premiership.

ManYoo on the other hand just have Carrick as a new player. the others have all been in the Prem and at the club for years, there's a lot more experience in their team.
