PITIFUL...PATHETIC...PISS POOR PERFORMANCE!!!
I wonder if they didn't get paid for such a bad performance they would
show some hustle or concern? They maybe need an incentive (like not
getting paid when they suck) Just a thought from a disgusted fan:mad:

1 up front hads not worked. it's not working now. I'm bettingit isn't going to. this is exactly why SN HAS TO GO!!!
TnT-they push himout cover himtight and there is no one else in the box with him to draw defenders. everyone else is 10 -15 ft behind at best. You know pretty much every 1st ball is being swung to him. it's stupid and transparent. this is what a coach is supposed to do.
the left is attrocious. it was last season, still is. why SN refuses to fix this is beyond me.
Cancela, the guy has mad skill but he doesn't fit into the SN system. why keep a player with a big salary who either doesn't fit or we don't find a way to build him in? dumb
Khano smith has to be the worst sub in mls. aweful. same thing every weak, he comes in. makes 3 bad plays, 1 good cross and then disappears for the last 20 min. useless. he can't pass, can't dribble, he can run at goal and shoot, but he's playing so far back it's practically worthless.
we have the worst finishing in MLS. no question about it.
SN has to go. Don't care what he has done in the past. this is aweful.

if it's not SN and it's the FO/krafts, than we are in deep....

even though shalrie has been lousy as an offensive force this season and even his movement of the ball has been eh, we missed his defesive/holding mid work big time.

few bright spots.
larentowits is the real deal. he will be a very good player. he's egtting his land legs, I'd like to see us get him more forward.
dorrman... he's so good, I have no doubt we will lose him too soon.

I'm so mad, I'm going to go kick my dog (and by kick my dog, I mean I'm going to go to bob krafts house and kick his son Jonathan)

This organization needs to make some changes in the way it operates.

We're terrible.

PS--

MAJOR props to the supporters who traveled all the way out to C-Bus to watch that trainwreck. The commintment of Rev supporters is THE shining bright spot in this season.

I'm not so sure what Nicol can do. His players dont want to play for the Revs. He has no speed other than Sims, who can't finish, and Khano, who's made it clear that he's a 5 minute player (plays for 5 minutes then disappears). All of his best players are central midfielders (Shalrie, Cancela, Dempsey, Dan Hernandez, Dorman, Larentowicz) other than Reis, Parkhurst and Twellman, so there's no way he can put them all on the field at the same time.

If I was Nicol I might just say "hell with it, the Krafts don't give a shit, I'm outta here" and coach a real club.

this game game down to two things,

1. poor DM play in the first half

2. Lack of real desire to win and score.

Everything else is just fluff.

This was the best performance I've seen all season from the Revs. They deserved that win and I give major kudos to the orginization and especially Steve Nicol, great job guys.

Now take everything I said there and think the exact opposite.

Like I said above, I'm not sure anymore that you can really fault Nicol. None of his players particularly like playing anymore.

This is a team with some of the best players in the league on it..

It has one of the longest tenured head coachs in the league and running the same team for more than 4 years no less...

But, in that time frame they have won no real championships...

I don't buy the "we suck again line of thinking"..I strongly argue this team is being mismanaged and the coaching sucks..

I have alot of respect for Steve Nichol and Paul Mariner as players. However the coaching of this team is very consistent...consistently stubborn!

Their unwillingness to put players on the field in a position to play to their stregnths is extremely frustrating AND the unwillingness to make any changes in the line up at half time when the Revs are down 2-0 is incredibly frustrating.

It was painful to watch this team tonight. I found myself literally yelling at the television hoping by some miracle they'd have an epiphany in cbus and move Riley to the left wing, Franchino back to left fullback, Dorman to defensive mid with Larentowicz and Ralston back over to the Right.. Why oh why not start Avery John, someone who has world cup level experience over Riley?? UGH@#$%@#$%@$%

Humbly submitted this should have been what this team started off with tonight. It would have given Cancela much more opportunity in the attacking midfield role to move the ball around successfully as he does with Shalrie on the field. Rather than having to come back deep in the midfield to take the ball of both Franchino and Larentowicz's feet numerous times.
Dorman is the closest player to Joseph in my opinion.

At a minimum he could have tried to make some more constructive changes at the half to effect the game...

This team was beaten 3-0 by the worst team in the conference and one of the worst in the league tonight..A team that almost beat the Revs in their last game..

Tonight's outcome is the result of poor preparation and poor coaching in my all knowing and seeing mind!

Well that's the job of the coach, to increase the morale in down times, or to turn the situation on the field around. When we go down we never are optimistic because we know we won't come back (with the exception of that Chicago game, that was sweet).

On another note, who was the girl with the brown hair in "the Fort"? She was purty

Franchino and Larentowicz were unable to support the defense tonight, allowing Columbus to get 3 attackers forward against our three backs. It is not enough as a defensive midfielder in front of a three man back line to stop play through the center. You must also close space behind a wide midfielder who goes forward. Columbus killed us by playing long balls quickly to Virtuoso all night. A Dmid, not Heaps, should have been cutting them out. Heaps was hung out to dry and looked helpless, but no well coached defense depends on an unsupported defender having to stop an attacker out near the touchline.
