Sahr Senesie scored two times yesterday (Reserve team). First assist by Lars Ricken, second one by Vrzogic!

I was in the Südtribune that day Ewerthon scored to give us the title. Bremen kicked our asses that day everywhere but the scoreboard.

Putting Ewerthon in the game was the best move that tactical moron ever made as BVB coach.

Some knew we were going to win when Bremen just couldn't convert so many 100% goal chances.

For most of that match, they kicked our f#cking asses up and down the pitch.

When Tikujuzu hit the crossbar as he was alone one on one with Jens Lehmann, a friend of KC's in the Südtribune with us said "Ja! Wir werden Meister!"

It just seemed to be our destiny.

Even as much as it seemed the team was trying to throw it away.....

A reminder.

This current BVB team doesn't have one third of the talent that 2001-2002 BVB team had.

On paper, that was the most talented BVB team ever assembled.

Of course we know the true best "team" was the one we had from 95-97.

That 2001-2002 team was so talented that with a big assist from 1. FC Nuernberg, we were able to overcome having the aforementioned tactical moron on the trainer's bench to win the title.

Unfortunately, the very next season, that tactical moron made the dumbest, most boneheaded move I've ever seen a coach make.

And that move cost our team and the club the money that comes with Champions' League advancement.

That team and the club itself has never been the same since that boneheaded move........

Look back. You can pinpoint a lot of the demise of the club back to that move. Everything was going along smoothly (at least on the outside) until that move. That's when the team started to go downhill and took the entire club with it.

Now we have a great coach (BvM), but a team who needs time to grow into itself. If we had this coach with that team, I'll bet we would have won at least two of the four titles challenged for since that season.

But then that great coach took a less talented team than ours and beat us in the UEFA Cup Final that season, didn't he?

No, I don't remember that. But I'll take your word for it.

The only time I remember thinking the title was truly lost was when we blew that match in Stuttgart.

Luckily for us, Nuernberg knocked off Leverkusen for us, Amoroso saved our asses in Hamburg and we lucked out over Bremen on the final day.

I just watched that Bremen match again last night on Arena.

I take it no one has that match recorded, do they??

Celebrations after today's win in Thannhausen (DFB Pokal). The supporters are celebrating together with some players! From what I see, there is Valdez in the middle and Degen on the left.
