The Revs are falling more and more behind other teams in terms of the future and now its not just in the stadium issue.
Read below and pay attention to the academy part

200 students, academics, and training from Real Madrid...yea that's pretty impressive. They have an ability to 'farm' a future generation of players. We have...nothing even close to that. What we do have, however, is Kano. And that's just great, because he's Kano.

I suspect that is the template we will see other teams use to build a true academy system. Maybe when Mr Kraft buys them the Revs can develope the exact same type of relationship with Liverpool. (HUGE SMILE)

There is still a piece missing here that I don't get.
If RSL has first dibs on the players from the academy, what benefit does Real Madrid get from the $12.5M investment in the academy?

Advertising, name brand recognition and, potentially, an "in" with MLS. This is about building merchandising and TV rights and hence, a stronger club, IMHO. Man U is probably still better known than Real and this is a way, for actually pretty cheap money considering this from an advertising view, to get that.

The REVs started their life in MLS with a dreadful decision on head coach followed up by some more dreadful personel decisions. The result? It took years to recover.
Now the league is going to SSS and youth academies, not to mention the REVs seem to be behind in scouting, reserve quality, and paying a decent wage.
I fear they may be setting themselves up to miss the boat again and leave us having to wait another 5-8 years for them to catch up.

Is the fact that the Revs haven't moved forward with an academy and or real (npi) youth system indicative of what the Kraft's real (npi) committment is to the Revolution?? Add this to no advertising, hardly any new players (I mean players with real value who cost $$) and this all seems to support the evolving belief that the Kraft's really don't care about this team..
What have we heard lately concerning the SSS? The Krafts were very lukewarm about it. Consider the league management were the ones that initiated pursuit of the SSS in the Boston area with their RFP letter.
The voice of doom or maybe reality says unless the Krafts increase their investment in this team the downslide will continue. How long before the League and the other owners step in and say enough is enough. Step up or step out?

The REVS organization has become an embarrassment to the league and the fans.It is a MICKEY MOUSE operation.I think the team has finally started to catch on to this and it's showing.
