On November 3rd, FoxSoccerChannel will be broadcasting Brown vs Yale! Some former Brown players include our very own Big Red Jeff Larentowicz '04, as well as Cory Gibbs '01. Maybe they'll be some future Revs players in action. Brian Joyce and Andrew Daniels are both good players and graduating in the spring, and my (completly uneducated) guess is they'll go into the draft. Both programs are strong (both made the NCAA tournement last year) and as its the last Ivy game, it might be for the championship.

Don't forget Marcos Romaneiro '04 as well.

I will probably attend a good number of Harvard games this year, in particular, the September 16th contest aganist Duke at Ohiri Field. Duke features junior midfielder Michael Videira, a favorite to win the Herman Trophy, and a Milford, MA-native out of the Noble & Greenough school who played for F.C. Greater Boston Bolts. He already has 3 goals and 1 assist thruogh 2 games, and you can read about the 6-1, 170lb player here:

Duke goalkeeper Brendan Fitzgerald is also a Massachusetts-native, hailing from Boxford.

I'm willing to bet Paul Mariner will be there, perhaps Nicol, and maybe Jay Heaps as well since there's no Revs match that weekend.

Also, UConn vs St. John's will be on FSC on Sept. 14.

UConn was ranked 2 until they lost to Loyola Marymount 1-0 in their first game.

In an unrelated bit of trivia, UConn's co-captain center-back went to my high school in Connecticut.

What happened to Mike Fucito? He played with Videira on that Bolts team, went to Harvard to play, but I haven't seen him on their roster since his freshman year

Took a semester (or maybe two) off from school. He's back this year.

Harvard should have a pretty strong team this year with Fucito and Hoff both back.

You're not kidding. The Crimson are off to a 4-1 start to the season, with Fucito having 4 goals to this point, while Freshman Andre Akpan has 2 goals and 4 assists through 5 games. They've scored 14 goals through 5 games played, their next match being at home (Ohiri Field) on Saturday when Harvard faces Duke at 1:00PM.

I don't know if this thread belongs here or on the USA College Soccer board. But for now I'll leave it...

since there is no board for a league (RISRs, NHPs, VTVs, CCCs, WMPs, etc.) maybe we can turn this into a catch all for all NE related soccer, non-ner. I'm always interested, but there is no place to officially churn it up

I can make it FRC - John Kerr who used to be a Rev is the head coach at Harvard ;)

And Mike Videira is our answer once we lose both Joseph and Dempsey (that's if he even plays in MLS - he may go the Euro route)

They've scored 14 goals through 5 games played

Why can't we do that?

Brown will still win the league.

So they pre-empted Dream Team for a game that will have zero flow because unlimited subs allows bench players to sprint around the field and foul people five minutes at a time?

Bollocks.

DT was on at 5pm today. Luckily it's rebroadcast on Friday night and Sunday night. Just a bummer, cuz I am such a loser that looks forward to my Thursday night cheese, and now I can't watch it till Sat (since it is on so late on Friday).

So you're going to complain about watching a real match (no matter that it's college) over a soap opera.

Please turn your testicles in ... :p
