Controversy is up again and the FPF is looking into Cusco really close.

Pros and Cons of playing in Cusco? of playing outside the capital?

I think Lima is no longer a valuable venue. They get jeered. No support most of the time. The Nacional pitch is far as hell from the stands (I think this is very important nowadays. To feel both pressure and support from the people). Maybe not get out of Lima, but play in another stadium? Hell, build a stadium especifically for the NT :D

The team needs nuevos aires. Play somewhere else?

What do you think?

Lima. In the Estadio Nacional or replace it with a new stadium.

Last friendly against Chile was played in Tacna.

Next one will probably be played in there also.

We've suffered so much in Lima in games where we could've and should've won comfortably...Sorry, I just don't see it working out :( I've lost my faith in the capital.

I also think we need a new stadium "Jose Diaz" needs to be renew or tear down and build up a new one.

It's true we play better out of Peru than in, but its a bit crazy to go to NJ, though i would go to the stadium, since I have never been to the stadium to see Peru :(

I can go with staying in Lima and playing in another stadium.

Matute? No jodas pe Guti. :D

El Monumental? Until el gordo is gone and la U, Gremco and FPF sit down and sign a contract so that the NT plays all their games there, nothing is gonna happen.

San Marcos' stadium is the shit. I remember going there a bunch of times to see a young Mendoza and a young Magallanes tear it up with the sub-16 and sub-17  It was an awesome pitch. If they set their minds to it, I'm sure they can fix whatever is wrong with it (security, new stuff like VIP, press boxes, locker rooms, new paint job) and adapt it to be a FIFA/CONMEBOL stadium.

BUT this is Peru, so chances are very slim.

San Marcos Stadium has a athletic track also.

Me? Personally, I think we should play in Lima agaisnt direct opponents (Chile, Ecua, Col, Par, Bol) and play agaisnt the BIG 2 in Arequipa (not as much altitude).

you're right, but the increase in capacity (104,000 almas) makes up for it.

YET we haven't been able to beat Colombia at the Nacional since god knows when and we keep tying Ecuador everytime we meet. :( We've had a bit of trouble with Bolivia. Not much really. Had a hard time beating them in the Copa America.

We should only play Chile at the Nacional. Los tenemos de hijos ahi. :D

We've beaten Paraguay there the last two qualifiers, but I think most of it it's because they've been the first game of the qualifiers and as we know Peru always starts out well and motivated.

It's just an incredible pressure in Lima for the team to win.

As for Arequipa, if we're gonna play there, then we might as well go full force and take them to the imperial city.

Our players will get tired out so quickly and easily in Cuzco/Arequipa especially those traveling for Europe. Players would have to train much longer before a NT game to get used to the altitude and climate. We all now teams like Bayern and PSV wont let our players out earlier. Lima players would have to do the same thing. Clubs wont risk it.

Well, the FPF is serious about it.

Yo no sé nada. Eso se está hablando... yo estoy acostumbrado a jugar en el Nacional y si se juega en Cusco vamos a tener que jugar ahí. No hay problemas.
