Just on loan for a year, supposedly to attract bigger offers for them from the top clubs. Nice for the Spammers, but doesn't really mean a lot long term.

....i've just been told that Nigel Reo-Coker may be off to Manchester United as Mascherano will take his place.
That's just like West Ham isn't it. Sell on a superb young English player with Tesco bags of potential so that you accomodate a couple of journeymen.
Idiots!

If West Ham let him go that would be a crime. He has been an inspiration for them, captained them to glory in the playoff final and was probably the best player on the park (behind Gerrard) at the Cup final. They would be silly to sell probably their best player.

Maybe not in the long term, but they would help in the short term.
Can't believe two quality players like that would go that low.

More like "West Ham have been given Tevez and Mascherano". MSI have been long-time linked with a takeover of West Ham, perhaps this is the beginning. MSI own these two players and have major ties with Corinthians. Just move two assets to a different club in exchange for some seats in the boardroom.
Good move for this season, but after that...? Not so sure.
I also read that Benayoun is off to Liverpool.

....on perm deals from their site....scummy site btw. Well life will be tough for anybody who have top 4 aspirations.
I think we will have wasted a chance if we don't get somebody for the left.

Did you see the part about how Carlos Tevez grew up dreaming of playing at West Ham? Oh yeah, every young child in Argentina is dying to pull on the Spam jersey, just like John Moncur...the hero of Argentine footballers everywhere. No terms disclosed at all...this is some pretty foul smelling dealings.

This whole thing just boggles my mind.
The only possible explanation is that Tevez, Mascherano and Scaloni are gay lovers who simply could not live without each other any longer. So, Scaloni helped broker the deal.

Must have been how Scaloni got on Argentina's world cup squad.
This is horrible horrible news, I feel like wretching every time I read it. Yet its so bizarre that I can't stop.

Ladies and Gentlemen, why are we worried about a team that still has Roy Carroll?

Guess not on the Reo-Coker and Benayoun. But did you see this bit:
The pair have been signed for an undisclosed fee and put pen to paper on permanent contracts with the Club this afternoon. All other aspects of the transfers will remain confidential and undisclosed.
Now why would you need to do that if it was 100% kosher?

Oh...its not kosher at all. Most of the West Ham fans appear to be deluded into thinking that Tevez and Mascherano just preferred Upton Park to Fly Emirates and old Trafford. Or that Alan Pardew is a genius, or a lesser deity because he made the deal happen.
But come on...which is more plausible. That a player from Argentina would prefer West Ham to Manchester United, or that some shady business has gone down to get him to Upton Park. The latter, very obviously. If Tevez is coming straight from Boca without this strange middleman MSI, does he even give West Ham the time of day with Arsenal, United, and Milan snooping around trying offers?
Absolutely not. It is utterly obvious that something very odd, and probably a bit shady has happened here. What I don't understand is, how did they get Tevez and Mascherano to actually sign the contracts? Or how does that even work with MSI involved? I really want to know how MSI operates "buying" players and selling them and still owning them while they're on another team...its all very bizarre.

I'm 110% sure this guy is involved somehow. I view it as a 1-year loan to WHU then they are headed to Chelski or sold to anyone but Man U, if Chelski don't want one or both of them.

They are both only 22 years old.
NRC was never going anywhere.
Hammers and Spurs will battle for forth, Arsenal are now the 4th best team in London.
Good luck guys.

More to the point, who cares? I couldn't give a toss personally.
Far more pressing matters, like who is the bastard who'll play on the left for Spurs, FFS?
