I read this, but wasn't Cheryl Miller the first chick to dunk?

Yeah, but that wasn't in the WNBA.

Is there nothing else newsworthy of the WUSA?

Yup, that sounds like me. Maybe I could do like that dude in that god-awful movie and dress in drag and go play in the WNBA.

5'7"
college basketball and track star... money is at the track though, not women's pro basketball... she has said she might do that when she retires

Jim Rome totally lit the WNBA up yesterday, and he was right about everything he said.
His best point was:
"For a league that talks about how its so fundamentally sound, and how 'this is real basketball, the way it should be played', why did they celebrate a dunk like they had just won the championship?"
The best thing is what the Spark's coach said after the game:
"We should have won this game for that reason alone,'' Cooper said.
What a ************ing idiot.
Reading the article about "The Dunk" is almost comical, and what would be even funnier is if you replaced Lisa Leslie's name with a male basketball player, say Mugsy Bogues.
"Leslie said she'll certainly try to dunk again."
"Bogues said he'll certainly try to dunk again."

"Juwanna Mann" was the movie. Save your money (even $2 for rental) if you haven't seen it.

Spud Webb was only 5'7" and won the Slam Dunk Competition.

Thanks for the heads up, but I've already decided against seeing it. Something about the trailer. I guess it didn't reall say 'mentally stimulating' as much as it said 'grossly moronic.'
Only one more dunk and she'll have equaled Candace Parker's (Chicago-area HS sophomore) total from last season.

Now that's a feat! I remember feeling that my clumsy, undersized frame could sky for the dunk after watching that.

did she dunk in traffic or on a breakaway?
at 6'5" she probably doesn't need to jump much more than a foot and a half to do it, right?

Breakaway...but she almost blew it.

Lol The WNBA, just thinking about it makes me laugh. I know they could probably kick my butt in most sports the same guys team can beat the same girls team. I don't know why some females get so upset about that. But then, who really does understand females?
At 5'11 you can drunk? At 5'9 I can barely touch net. Heh.

Well, here in Canada, at 18, you can legally drunk, so I've been actually doing it for a while. :D
Seriously, though, it's not just about height. I have a 6'4 wingspan and a vertical leap of about 30 inches. You gotta practice to get mad hops though. I've been 5'11 since junior high, but I first dunked my senior year of HS.

i don't think i have a large wingspan compared to my height... but i have always had good hops and can palm a b-ball
however, i never figured out i could dunk until my sophomore year of college, as i didn't play basketball in highschool
just cause you are under 6' doesn't mean ************, then again being over 6' doesn't mean you are ************ either
met tons of guys shorter than me that can dunk and most guys i meet taller than myself (5'11") can't
