I know it's really early, but why not get started? I expect we will lose this match, but I hope we keep it close. I hope we can play well.

Lineup?

Carson
Young - Diawara - El Karkouri - Traore
Ambrose - Faye - Hughes - Reid
JFH - D. Bent

Subs: Myhre, Fortune, Kishishev, Rommedahl, M. Bent

Without knowing if we will add another midfielder, I'm afraid Hughes will get the start. I would have put Kishishev in there, but last season he gave the ball away to the Blues on a regular basis.

Oh, and my prediction for this week's red card -- El Karkouri. It may well be that Fortune gets the start. He didn't play the last match due to a toe knock. If Fortune is on for El K, then we may not have a red card.

Dont be so negative we got a result there last year in the cup and if we put the same effort in as the first half against Man Ur and the whole game against Bolton we might just give Chelskie a run for there money.

Diawara ooh ooh Diawara OOh Ooh Ooh OOh he comes from senegal he f*****g hates Millwall

I'm still clinging to that old Curbs feeling -- against the big clubs, we may play well but never win. And after the ManU loss, well, I'm still going to feel that way.

So, there's nothing like the pleasant surprise of getting a result against the boys of Jose.

Though Luke Young is out for England with an ankle knock, ID and the CAFC web site assure us he will be fit for the match at Stamford Bridge.

I certainly hope so, we will need O Captain, My Captain. We could be playing a lot of defense.

Of course, let's hope our achilles heal isn't showing -- defending set pieces. If not, the England Captain will be scoring against us.

I really do wish I could see this one. I even wish I was going to listen. Each Saturday will be a choice of staying home in the morning to listen to a Charlton match or go play in the weekly pick up game at Gum Springs Park. Sorry, gents, most of the time I will be playing. I will usually get home before the match is over, so I will join in on the board when I can.

Go Addicks!

It looks like very few addicks will be making the trek across south london to the bridge on saturday 48quid/ticket, one thread on another board had only 200 going.

This game also made general sale in the home sections (chelsea official web page). I wonder if it will sell out?

Chelski is over priceski'ing away fans and their own fans.

Another penalty save by Carson, unfortunately he was let down by poor clearances and marking on corners.

Chelsea was unlucky to miss on chances in the first half but from then on the game was even. A brief spell had the blues on their heels after the addicks had equalized.

Not bad.. ID needs to get Romm on and involved like he was in every game.
