Thanks FSF. I have started a thread called "Canucks in Holland 2006/07", if you have any updates for us you can put them in there :)

I am hoping for a lot Canadian goals this season and started this thread to keep it all together, so when someone wants to look it up can get at it quickly.
I think I already made my first mistake, because I learned that Will Johnson scored the first Canuck goal.

Oh, ok! Johnson's goal was with the reserves though, that doesn't really count does it? Besides, i think Dylan Hughes scored a week before Friend for VVV Venlo...

All Canadians in the Eredivisie got a three star (out of 5) rating by Voetbal International. It also commented on the PSV- Feyenoord game that Jonathan would be the only player at that moment of Feyenoord being an improvement for PSV.

What are you saying?? That Jonathan would be a player that would improve PSV (in other words, nobody else from Feyenoord would be of interest to PSV?).
I read on the Feyenoord site that Jonathan scored a tying goal in the game but it was called back without any real explanation. It appeared from the report that it was at least a better game for Feyenoord than earlier games this season.

Well, the guys fielded against PSV in their current form that is. All can change in a week when they get their confidence back and start demolishing the other teams:D

Yesterday there was a rare opportunity to watch live three Canadians in action. Will Johnson was the only one not fielded. The happy one was De Jong. As I learned later there was the opportunity to watch it for free on the internet.

Yeah, it was on Talpa! i watched the games, it was a simulcast of Veendam-Feyenoord and Heerenveen-Roda. 4 Canucks started in the Dutch Cup, 3 yesterday (JDG2, Friend and De Jong) and Wagenaar got his first pro start in net for ADO on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to lurking in the Dutch boards for more chances to watch matches on the internet for free ;)

Jono scores again today, in the 9th minute against Excelsior. It was his second of the season.

Off topic, but hey for a change! Wagenaar was the hero to stop almost any shot fired at him this weekend. So for a change a goal stopper instead of a scorer:)

Friend scores his 2nd league goal today in the 67th minute. He made it 2-0 before Heerenveen hung on from a 4-0 lead to win 4-2 over Groningen.

Will Johnson scored and had an assist in Jong Heerenveens win over Jong AZ.

Jonathan scored a whopping free kick some 30 meters against FC Twente. He was angered by the coach who sent him to the bench for this match and put all his anger and frustation in this kick.

Feyenoord vs Heerenveen ended with a triple Canadian burst of goals.
First Friend's two goals, a distant strike and a header, equalized the score for Heerenveen 3-3, but the best was kept for the last when Jonathan de Guzman delivered a wonderful chip over the goalie to secure the win for Feyenoord. He is as cool as an iceberg floating in stormy waters:)

And JdG did it again, against ADO the second goal that took away the nerves running through the veins of the players.
